Logout from the Waze App
uninstall the app
Power off cache clear
Reinstall.....

If that doesn't work, you can try logging onto your waze account online, and see if there is something wrong there.

I've had a chance to work with Waze after using Google maps for 2 years. WAZE is too buggy, and in some ways, annoying. I'll stay with Google Maps for now and perhaps try it again later. But thanks for your help anyway.

As a beta tester for Waze, you're correct. The 4.0 version in the play store was released with a lot of crucial mistakes. They will get it all ironed out; Come back and try it again in a month or so....

Rest area and Google Maps

Planning an extensive road trip. Looking for a rest area application. I'll be mostly on the Interstate highway system. I'd like to be able to use Google Maps to pinpoint these areas. I. E. Be able to click on an address and have Google Maps take me to the rest area. Thanks.

You can...but only if the Rest Area is uploaded to Maps yet. Not all of them are (especially if there are any new ones). I'd probably look them up on Maps before your trip and see if those are the ones you want.

They will not show up in the map as Rest Stops or Rest Areas by themselves like on Car GPS systems; you have to search for Rest Areas and the ones uploaded to Maps will show up.

Thanks. That would probably be a good idea for the next enhancement that Google might add. Google maps already lists gas prices. Thanks for your help.

Not sure if Waze does it though. Maps is sloooowly adding Waze features, but the latter still has some features that Maps doesn't. Might want to check that one out, too.

Google maps update

Just downloaded the Google Photos update but following the instructions, doesn't work. I'm using version 1.19. What am I doing wrong. Thanks.

Thanks. The new feature of BACKUP PHOTOS NOW, doesn't work. Instructions say, Select photos, then select from the 3 dot menu, and choose Backup photos now. It doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

The problem is with the instructions. You have to open the 'Device Folder' instead of "Photos" . Then you'll see Backup Now at the 3 dot menu.

Thanks for the answer, My photos seemed to work fine including back-ups. The changes on the menus are designed to keep us on our mental toes, I hear it helps prevent Alzheimer's
