Will the tab S5e go into 3D mode with satellite view? My 8" tab s2 does not.

No. You can only get 3D satellite view on Google Earth but, of course its no good for navigation

Thanks for the info. I thought it might work because of the newer android and increased horsepower.

Actually just trying on mine and yes can open apps with satellite view and then can select street view. works smooth.
