Hi Folks, I have the P30 pro New Edition as the title says recently the Google Mic and the Fingerprint Sensor stopped working, does anyone know are these an easy fix or not worth fixing.
The phone itself is in great condition no marks and still works apart from these 2 things.
I see the P30 pro still selling for £150 to £200 in good condition, if these 2 things were fixed it would be in excellent condition.
So is it worth paying to get it fixed or should I sell it and try and get as much as possible for it.

Many thanks

What do you mean by "Google Mic"? Do you mean that the mic doesn't seem to work specifically for Google apps (like Google Assistant), or that the mic doesn't work at all (like for speakerphone or regular phone calls)?

Did you already try Safe Mode? https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/content/en-us00737976/#:~:text=Press and hold the volume, the power button to confirm.
Hi guys, I was told by Huawei the P30 pro has 2 mics one for the Google Assistant and one for general talking on the phone.
This is the 2nd time it's not working. I have done factory resets and it still doesn't work, neither does the finger print sensor.
P. S
The P30 pro was the last one out with all the Google Apps.
They re-released the P30 pro after the Ban and called it the New Edition as they were still allowed use 4g chips at that time from what I recall.

Cheers

All phones have a primary mic at the bottom of the phone, and a secondary mic at the top of the phone. The primary mic is for conventional phone calls, while the secondary mic is used for a number of features, like the speakerphone mic, voice assistants (not just Google Assistant), and also one of the stereo channels when you take a video. If it's not working, then it's most likely failed.

An easy way to test is to take a video with sound, then play it back and watch it with headphones on. If you only hear sound coming from one channel, then the secondary mic is either blocked (e.g., by a poorly fitted case or by debris lodged in the mic opening) or nonfunctional.
