Google Music Beta invites... what gives?

Google mine yesterday. Xoom registered email. 17000 songs uploading now. Worth mentioning that you can't download your music after uploading.

I am in the same boat. Early adopter, had Xoom since day 1 etc etc.... Still nothing on the music Beta. Even when the report comes that they are rolling out to the masses...still nothing...

I have two google accts, got the invite for both, and didnt request it. If i could give them out I would. I use subsonic to stream my music anywhere and will never even log into to google music.

So if you can't download it, what good is it? I assume you have to stream it, meaning use data/wifi to stream ?

Well I got my invite and I'm on a wifi xoom and not even in the US. And I only signed up for an invite earlier this afternoon, using a proxy.

That must be a real kick in the teeth for anybody who's still waiting!

sounds like those who are waiting need to request another invite. maybe a different gmail acct? I requested today and got an invite within hours.

finally got music beta

Uploading 6k songs now, seems pretty straight forward, you can authorize 8 computers to use it, I'll post back once my upload completes.

It doesn't continue playing music when you open a new tab or minimize the browser. This is pretty useless for multitasking and listening to music.

Those of you who are already in, have you tried playing a song from your Xoom browser?

Every time I try it tells me I need to refresh the page.

I know I can play from the app, just curious as to why it won't work from the browser...

It doesn't like the "On demand" option for the Enable plug-ins setting. If you set it to 'Always on' it works fine. Not sure why.

Google Music

I got my invite today and proceeded to upload everything from my crapTunes folder on my laptop. Everything is running without an issue so far.

Just got my invite but it was strange all it said was that the Motorola xoom was now supported. I wish I could get it to work along with my thunderbolt but oh well.

When u upload, if you go to music on the thunderbolt and sync your Gmail account all the music will be there. And after using the service today at work, I had much better luck with very quick, smooth streaming on my thunderbolt.

What's the differences between Music by Google and Amazon? Does Music have a store? I'm using Amazon right now, why would I want to switch? or was Google to late?
