Google music play and T-Mobile

Recently got a note 4(ex iPhone user) and switched to tmobile. I noticed that they added google music to their list of music freedom. From my understanding, I can stream music without It affecting my data. When I checked my data usage, I saw that Google music took about 1.4 gb of data from Nov.29-Dec 8. Am I missing something? Sorry for this newb question.

It should still show up as using data, tmobile just won't count it against your tier
