Google Nexus 4 - Google Search force close

I have installed the new Google Search and Google Experience Launcher from the Nexus 5 on my Nexus 4. Everything had been working great until today. Now any time I try to use Google Search it just say "Unfortunately Google Search has stopped". My device is not rooted and I already tried turning the phone off. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it running again?

Same thing happened to me. I also really want to know why. I uninstalled the GEL launcher and the new Google App Update, because of this.
Thanks for creating this forum, I am really glad to know it was not just me having this issue.
Hope we get 4.4 on our N4 this week! GPE Devices are slated to get it in 15 days after oct 31. (launch of kitkat)

I think the new Google Now (search) update that's been rolling out has fixed this problem. I had installed this on my stock HTC One with similar results. Had to reset my phone, but when I loaded up this new search update, then the new launcher, everything works like a charm!
