Anyone else having issues playing YouTube videos or any other HTML 5 videos on the nexus 5?

Yes every time I try to watch a video it shows up with the chromecast logo in the middle of the screen and it won't go away. I've tried uninstalling chromecast and youtube, nothing helps. I am able to watch them just fine from the youtube mobile website on the Nexus 5 but it is failing every time I try to use the App.

Check to see if you had bluetooth enable. I had the same issue and it was driving me nuts. Look like the audio is been send over to bluetooth and the video is waitng for you to be cast.

Having this same issue on my N4, BT is off.

[Edit] A reboot seems to have fixed it for now.
[Edit again] Didn't last long, it's back.

That's too bad. I have Wi-Fi and YouTube app issues on the N4. My N5 is coming tomorrow. Hope it won't be the same. =\

So yes something is up. on my nexus 4 most videos would go full screen and play on a android video player I guess you could call it.

On my nexus 5 some play on a video player that is not full screen so you can still see address bar but it does not play. I then went on dailymotion played the first video I saw and viola it went straight to the full screen android video player but then I reloaded the page clicked play and the video did not open up on the android full screen video player. It stayed on the webpage loading for a long time but never switching to the "video player" . that is my only issue right now

No difficulty with YouTube other than trouble getting my Nexus 5 to play sound via Bluetooth, however I'm using the Android YouTube app, not trying to play it from the browser, because Android 4.4 lacks a Flash driver. I have never bothered trying HTML-5, because the YouTube app works.

when I play youtube videos with the app it automatically sets the volume to zero every time a new video starts and I have to bring it back up manually

YouTube won't play on my nexus 5 it always states "connection to server failed" and has been like this for the past 2 weeks. Its annoying
