Google Nexus 6 on Sprint

Re: Geting a nano sim from Sprint

I just find it odd that they state that Sprint nano sims are different depending on the phone you will be putting it in

Re: Geting a nano sim from Sprint

Just use sprint's live chat. Guy asks for your phone number, and what kind of phone the nano-sim is for, and an address. 3-5 day shipping free.

Re: Geting a nano sim from Sprint

Yeah I am doing that right now and they say they do not have the model number nano sim for the nexus 6 at this time...gotta love sprint

Re: Geting a nano sim from Sprint

Just chat Sprint support and tell them you want a Sim for a iPhone 6. You'll have it in the mail in 3 to 5 days.... Free

Re: Geting a nano sim from Sprint

They say that because they don't want to send one without you having the phone yet. Let us know how ordering online goes. It shouldn't be that hard to get the sim from Sprint.

Re: Geting a nano sim from Sprint

I ordered a Sim card cutter when before I actually got my preorder in. In just punching out my own.

This email just came in from Sprint, back to chat to order the sim

We would hate to see you leave and would like you to use your phone through our network. The UICC SKU for the Nexus 6 will be CZ2124LWC. This is the same SKU used for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. Just let the store know this is what you need.

I didn't even bother going back to the store. I just connected online with international chat and pasted that email to them. They are sending me one for free, tracking information came through. Ordered Friday night and deliver is slated for Wednesday.

Re: SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release, rumors and conjecture thread.

I made a post earlier but no replies. I hope they carry the white version. I want white with easy pay.

I thought I saw somewhere that they may only have the blue 32GB one, but don't quote me on that.
Hope to get some confirmed news in the next couple of days on the release on Friday the 14th. :)

Re: Geting a nano sim from Sprint

I mistakenly used the domestic chat. 35 minutes of my life gone. They referred me to Sprint's customer no-care. 25 minutes later and customer no-care said I had to go into my local store. I had my doubts the local store would know more information.

I finally reread your post and caught the word 'international' chat. Literally, 5 minutes, done. Would I like free 3 day shipping? You bet.

dr. burgle, I really appreciate your posting this info.

All modern SIM cards are identical with the exception of the amount of plastic which surrounds the electronic guts. That means that a standard SIM can be cut down to micro and a micro can be cut down to nano.

Easiest way is to simply visit any cellular store and ask someone, "hey, do you have a SIM punch? Would you cut my micro SIM down to NANO for me?

Next, and for some, even easier, is to just get a pair of sharp scissors and do the job yourself. See For the bold: Cutting your own Nano SIM card | Android Central for guidelines.

Yes and no - nano-sims are actually more compact in ALL dimensions, meaning that not only would you need to trim the outer edge, you might need to wear down some of the plastic (with sandpaper) off the back of the sim (while being careful not to go through to expose the metal) in order to make it thin enough to fit.

That is what I originally thought however Sprint has to be difficult with the provisioning in them regarding the LTE and GSM roaming

This is from a Sprint employee on another forum I was discussing this on

"Sadly, no. Sprint has done both USIM and CSIM nano SIMs, and even then this is their third variant of a nano CSIM specifically. Altogether, I think we're up to more than five different nano SIM models at this point. Some should technically be interoperable, but their provisioning system will only allow certain SIMs to be used with certain devices. (i.e. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to cut down a Galaxy S4 mini micro SIM and use it in an iPhone 5 nano SIM slot, but it isn't allowed.)"

Re: SPRINT - Google Nexus 6 release, rumors and conjecture thread.

Something I saw on Reddit:

Sales on 11/14, training on 11/12.
32GB only
$299.99 on contract, $699.99 full price ($50 more than retail)

How accurate this all is, I don't know. If it's true, I'm going to regret not trying harder to order one from Google Play/Motorola.
Any word on the Nexus 6 release date? : Sprint

They aren't going to sell very many at that price. I was maybe going to get it at $50 on contract. When the Note 4 is $299 the Nexus 6 better not be more than $100.
