Google Nexus 6 on Sprint

I picked one up Sat. morning at a local Sprint Corp store, there is no Sprint boot screen or any bloatware of any kind on it. No Sprint logos.

Is this the case with your 'Sprint' version?
Yes. Yes it is. It is very nice.

I also noticed under network settings it was defaulted to Global instead of LTE.

Roaming was turned off by default.

I turned my roaming on and put it on the "LTE (recommended)" setting.

Has anyone been able to install/use Sprint Zone? I received an update earlier this month on my HTC One M8 that made the application really useful. I found the apk on another website, but I was unable to get it to work.

It is not possible, that app needs system level access in order to be able to work. It is not as easy as just installing an apk. It will not be flagged for download via vpl nor is it available through the playstore as a result.

This is one of those not on a nexus things.

If I recall correctly, it won't work, as Sprint bakes it into the OS of phones they throw their "bloat" on .

I'll try to find that link and post it here.

I had logged into Google + to do something and now my N6 has my G+ contact photo in the upper right corner as my user icon.
Cool.
Probably the same on all the phones but I wanted to share with my Sprint peeps. :)

No fix for the the multiple texts sent yet right? this has never been a problem for me.

My experience has seemed to calm down a lil bit. The first couple days after activating it it seemed like every other SMS, now it might be once a day it does it, or twice.

Cool, this can be setup manually as well by going into the user settings and tapping the default icon.

This is one of the little touches that really makes the experience feel a lot nicer.

how long have you had the phone? I have found after having it a week now it seemed to have settled down. It was horrific in the beginning though, I was sending sms's and people were getting dupes, trips, and even quads. Missing calls and VM's as well. After a week though, and 3 activations it seems to have settled.

I've had it a week also, I've tried restarts, not sure if it has to do with the Google messaging, but never had the issue before

No SMS problems here.

My LTE connection concern that I mentioned earlier seems to have corrected itself.
This is Day 4 of it working perfectly. The network may have needed some time to recognize the device/SIM setup or something.
Everywhere I have gone this week has had normal LTE connection like my previous device so I am happy. :)

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day.

Drove through Gresham - East Portland, Oregon and I'm impressed with 'Spark' LTE specifically Band 41 (2600MHz). The signal is much much more stable compared to WiMAX and seems to switch to 1900MHz LTE seamlessly, I didn't notice when it occurs.

What are options for buying outright at Sprint? T-Mobile seems like the easiest when it comes to buying phone, one month of prepaid, and then telling the carrier to screw off.

Can I start a new month-to-month account with Sprint? Without a stupid credit check? Seems to be a bigger hurdle — and they refuse to sell it without activation.

Some phone calls aren't coming through. I've updated the prl and checked all the settings. Its set to LTE and roaming is on. Anyone else having this problem? I brought the phone from Sprint and I'm on Sprint as well.

I was when I got this phone a week ago. Now it's just SMS getting delayed or being sent in duplicate.
