I'm hearing a lot of good first impressions and can't wait to get my phone, it's out for delivery now. The one thing I was wondering about is how Google voice works. On my OPO GV works well, and my voicemails are integrated into the call log. I haven't used stock Android since I had my Nexus 5, and I'm not sure if it's a stock Android thing or CyanogenMod. I'm hoping it works like this in Lollipop.
Ambient display.... I like it.. It's neat to hear my phone beep and just glance over and I know what it is and then the screen goes back dark or I just double click to read the email/text/whatever....
I need to install Google voice again..... When I moved to T-Mobile I removed it... Sprint actually advertised it and it worked better on their network vs when I made the move to T-Mobile.... but I really liked it when I did use it.... isn't it baked into hangouts now though? I'll need to research more...
Thanks for the great writeup Robbie. Quick ? about Ambient Display. So, unlike Moto X, whatever the notification is that comes up, it lights up dimly and vibrates once? Does the notification/vibration ever happen again, or no, only once? Just wondering how many times I might miss something after 1 shot? I'd hate to install 3rd party app like Dynamic Notifications, as I did on my Nexus 4. But not sure it or any 3rd party app like this would work on Nexus 6 and confuse Ambient Display? Hmmm...
I'm not sure GV works on a prepaid account, at least not the way I use it. You can't use call-forwarding. It's the one thing holding me back from going prepaid all the way. You have a choice whether or not to integrate it into Hangouts.
Haha sucks for me. No stores in colorado have the phone. Tmo
This phone is beautiful. Lucky for me two stores within a 5 mile radius had them in stock. So big and beautiful... I got a Spigen thin case, but it looks like I will need more protection. I am afraid that I may drop it.

Funny you say that, because after playing with it yesterday at the T-Mobile store, I thought it felt smaller than I imagined, perfect actually, and ordered one immediately.

Sign up then cancel once you have the phone. They can't force you to return the phone. They simply make you pay for the phone.
Glad you liked it. I love the nexus line but I think the nexus 6 might too big. It's so hard to get a feel for these devices when they're so heavily locked down to the tables.

Walked into local T-Mobile store this morning and picked one up. Put my Att card in and now enjoying it. I feel bad for those here that spend a lot of time ordering online and then not even getting it earlier than me. Though I was one of the first people to try ordering the day play store claimed to have it.
First impression is that its big. Definitely found the moto x more comfortable. But the nexus 6 still fits comfortably in my pocket, will be better for reading a lot because of the bigger screen, has wireless charging, a barometer, slightly brighter screen, and better camera (indoor shots look less noisy, but it may be different processing on the moto x built in app, i.e. less noise smoothing.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Yeah, I looked at your screen shot and saw that. Relieved to hear it drains so much more slowly when you have a better signal, because the drain you had during your first 4 hours was, at minimum, depressing. As far as my battery life it has to be the signal strength at work
