Google Nexus 6 on T-Mobile

Re: my final choice

At this point, it's whoever post it up first between Sprint & the Playstore. I might give T-Mobile a try. They seem to be doing pretty good as of late

Re: my final choice

The last one was, I suspect this one will be too. The only thing I was miffed about with T-Mobile was that I paid $50 more than the play store for the device. I hope they're not doing THAT this time around.

No, I don't think the device will be locked, nor come with bloat. I don't even think updates will lag.

Re: my final choice

NOTE: Unless you actually care about the Note 4, disregard this post. I thought you said "What are you guys buying," not "Where are you guys buying."

Nice! The Nexus 6 is really nice, but I want the Note 4 instead as I take a lot of notes.

So I'll probably get an off-contract Note 4 on either AT&T or (if my family switches carriers) T-Mobile. Can't wait until ~December 15 (my current dinosaur smartphone, the iPhone 4, was a birthday gift and all I know is that is was activated a week or so before I recieved it.)

Otherwise (i.e. If it turns out we can't afford it) I'll wait for the 16GB LTE Moto G to be released, then buy that.

T-Mobile to Bring Nexus 6 to its Data Strong Network this November | T-Mobile Newsroom

The Nexus 6 by Motorola will join T-Mobile’s stellar device lineup on November 12 for $0 down (and $27.08 a month for 24 months on our Equipment Installment Plan).

$27.08 x 24 months is $649.92 so technically 7 cents cheaper than the play store....

Re: my final choice

Since I've bought my last 2 nexus from the play store this year I'll get mine from T-Mobile stores.
That is if it does come out sooner than google ships them from the play store. (Hoping for Nov. 12th!)

I also hope its exactly like the play store model, meaning updates as soon as they come out, unlocked and pure android with no carrier garbage on the phone.

Where are the rest of you guys buying?

the @askdes twitter guy for T-Mobile said the device will come preloaded with the T-Mobile app but it was user deletable... Outside that if you dig down further in his twitter feed you'll see he said the device is unlocked and bloat free...

Re: my final choice

Would T-mobile let me walk in and by the device outright? I'm with ATT.

Yes. Device and phone plans are not connection with t-mobile. If you paid for the phone outright it is yours. If you have tmobile and cancel service, they bill you for the phone. I could technically buy 3 or 4 phones from tmobile on EIP and let anyone use them on any carrier (they would probably be pissed if I did that though).

Re: my final choice

Without a doubt Im getting mine through T-mobile. They are the only carrier so far that will offer the 64 GB option(online).

Re: my final choice

I want to buy through motorola if they have them in a decent time frame. Free shipping and great customer service if it is needed.

Free shipping too, I believe.

Fantastic. I'll send my 7 cents to Android Central in hopes to bribe the infractions off my account.

According to @askdes at T-Mobile the 32 gig blue will be available for pick up on 11/12 for that price from local stores... They will start taking online orders on 11/12 for the 32 and 64 gig online and free shipping (I don't know if that is next day air or 2 day or ground shipping)

just said $649 in stores on the 32 blue...... My local T-Mobile store said they are suppose to have SOME in stock for 11/12..... but they don't know how many SOME will mean....

Actually....I don't believe that is correct, if you do EIP.

For example, with the iphone 6. If you buy the phone from tmobile, you have to have the phone paid off for 40 days before they will unlock it. It is in their policy. I am sure it is the same with other phones on the network.

I don't know about the nexus 6, but with other phones it is.

I would just try and be sure before you go buy it, since they have a $50 restocking fee.

Re: my final choice

If i end up liking the size I'll pick one up from verizon. it is down to the nexus 6 or the droid turbo. After playing with the turbo today, it is a really nice phone, the nexus is really going to have to wow me, hope the size isn't too large after using one.

Re: my final choice

As much as I hate how much of a delay it might cause, I'll still probably wait on the Play store... I don't like the idea buying it from T-Mobile and being able to activate it on 2 of the 4 big networks if I wanted (or if I wanted to sell it to someone on one of those down the road) just because it was bought originally from one of their competitors (even though it's fully compatible and unlocked from T-Mobile).

Re: For those hoping to buy a T-Mobile Nexus 6 on 11/12

There's a big difference between a couple of hours and 0.0156 seconds. But point taken - act fast (or make friends with a store rep in advance!).

Re: For those hoping to buy a T-Mobile Nexus 6 on 11/12

I'm more interested in seeing the phone in person in store. I already know what Android L is like and how fast it'll be. I want to hold the device and play with the camera.

Re: my final choice

Before I buy it from T-Mobile I'll have to check the box from the outside..make sure it has nothing to do with T-Mobile(a Sim card from tmo inside the box is a bad sign) My biggest worry is tmo apps being on the phone, and that it isn't unlocked right off the bat, but it's a nexus so it should be just as if I bought it from google.
