The carrier reps are generally clueless. On a side note, just from the forums alone you can tell there is a lot less hype about the nexus 6. I think the price is going to keep a lot of people away.

well i am frickin excited. always want just android without bloatware but never been avilable for verizon. hope this nexus 6 goes well on verizon.

Images at 13MP are a lot larger than at 8MB, and 4K video larger than 1080P.

Man you are taking a lot of pictures....... 4K video is still a ways away..... Very small amount of the population that actually have 4K TV or monitors... Probably another year if not longer before 4K even starts to pull even with 1080p TV's.... Right now they are still mostly (Vizio has some nice less expensive 4k TV's out now) too expensive compared to 1080p models....... and I can imagine 4k video from your phone isn't going to be top notch..

Photos that are 10 Megapixels, 3648x2736, Fine mode (Sorry couldn't find a 13 MP chart)

2GB---770 photos

4GB---1,540 photos

8GB---3,080 photos

16GB---6,160 photos

32GB---12,320 photos

but you are right.. the more compressed your video is the lower the Quality... Most of my HD movies take up 2 - 3 gig..... but I mostly stream and only download one or two to my device if I am going to be a on flight for a couple of hours and unable to stream.. but as soon as I get home I delete it and go back to just streaming...

unfortunately i got some possibly bad news last night from a verizon rep chat session online for us verizon people.
i asked him about nexus 6 pre-order and he said they were not advertising that phone yet. i asked him when will it be available to pre-order, he said he didnt know so i asked him if you hd to only "guess" what would you think, he said if he had to "guess" 2 weeks.

I had heard early December for Verizon.... Could be wrong..... Looks like T-Mobile is November 12....

Man you are taking a lot of pictures.......

It was during a week-long team tournament - loads of pictures, but also a couple of hours of HD video (that took up the lion's share).

What is return policy on nexus phones -- id like to take it for test drive before deciding

Varies by source - see each for details. Google's is 15 calendar days on Nexus devices, no restocking fee (provided you have everything and all in 'new' condition).

I'm wondering whether there's more than a few milliseconds to be saved refreshing the Play store screen to see if it's launched vs. refreshing this forum's page and looking for the sudden deluge of about 60 new threads announcing it ;-)

Would be smarter Google would just have said what time pre-orders would start. I just don't understand why companies can overlook such simple, but important information. SMH.

I have the order page saved in my phone too...... I go to lunch at 11 and will probably wait until like 10 after and then go and check on my phone while I am out.... made sure to verify my credit card info was good and address was good in Google Wallet last night.... Even went Monday and paid the $47 balance I had on my credit card just to make sure.....

Where is the 2pm est coming from?

Last year they said the Nexus 5 was going on sale at 11 am PST, 2 pm EST... but they ended up putting it up for sale a little earlier... I found out on here it was live and ordered mine at like 1:30 est....... so you just have to keep an eye on it.. This year they never gave us an actual time just October 29... so we wait.....
