Anybody else disappointed with screen battery life and camera ?

I am still in my return period and would of returned ,y note 4 but it seems I made the right choice. Camera sounds pretty meh , screen isn't as accurate nor as bright as the note 4 and battery life seems to be an hour less then the note 4. Hopefully the next revision is better

Re: The Verge: Nexus 6 Review - Go bigger or go home

I normally don't care for Dieter's reviews but this one good. I really liked how he covered it.

Are you saying that because it was a positive review of a product you like?

Yes, I am disappointed. I'm starting to be happy about the struggles I've had actually ordering one (well, 2 actually - for my wife and me). Right now, I think I'm going to pass and see how long I can stretch out our Note 2's. I don't know what's next in the pipeline that will give me everything I want. Maybe a G4, but May is pretty far off.

Re: Anybody else disappointed with screen battery life and camera ?

After reading about 10 reviews it seems to depend on who you want to believe (plus your real world use and opinion on the camera is going to differ) I've read a few reviews that says it Meh... a few that says it's fantastic and a few that say it's okay.. better than before but still needs work......

AC didn't seem too thrilled about the phone. The Verge loved it.

I've read about 10 reviews now.... Most seem positive but there is just no way to know until you have it and put it through your own paces..... Most reviews seem to say the camera is vastly improved but still needs work.. but I've even seen a couple that says it's fantastic and a few that says it's just as bad as previous Nexus devices... a couple of reviews said battery easily lasted a day and a half and I've seen a couple who say the battery is Meh...

I tend to like android authority and phone arena and technobuffalo at times.

Re: Ars Technica: Nexus 6 Review - The “premium” price still comes with compromises

I agree. The whole point of a nexus phone is better speed because there isn't additional software over lays. If the Note 4 can load a game 3 times faster, there is a serious problem....

Agree on those three are usually very good with their reviews..

The other problem is I've seen several Tweets that a big Lollipop update hit Nexus 6 devices today (Even saw it mentioned in a few reviews I read).... I don't think the build these guys have been testing and review the past two weeks was a finished/polished product... and may be part of the true reason behind the push back on release....

Might have to wait until December to get follow up reviews or just buy the thing (Which I've already done) and test it myself...... in a worse case I should be able to at least break even on selling it in a month....

Re: Anybody else disappointed with screen battery life and camera ?

I think out of all the reviews, the only thing I'm truly concerned about are the low read/write speeds on the flash storage (look at Ars Technica review) which evidently slows down some performance. I'd like to see others test this out to make sure it's not an anomaly.

Screen sounds like it's not the best out there but over all decent. Camera and battery seems like "your mileage may very" type of deal, as they always tend to be on phones.

Re: Ars Technica: Nexus 6 Review - The “premium” price still comes with compromises

Wow, that's a pretty devastating review. Three hours ago I was convinced the Nexus 6 was going to be my next phone. Now I'm not so sure anymore. On the other hand, TheVerge lauded the speed of the 6.

On the positive side Arstechnica seemed to disagree with androidcentral about the ambient display and always on features being inferior to the Moto X.

Interesting to see such vastly different assessments between reviews of this phone. I don't think I've ever see reviews being all over the place like this.

Yes but from what I've seen of the nexus 6 photos posted and from what they said plus posted screen shots of battery and screen quality written I am glad I kept my note 4. They do look better then a nexus 5 so is an upgrade from that

Or You can buy the phone and form your own opinion.

If only that hadn't went with an unnecessarily high resolution screen. had this been 1080p only I wonder what the battery life could have been?

I'll be cancelling my pre-order from the Play Store :(

(canceling due to concerns about the battery, camera and peformance not just battery)

Read Forbes review, you'll want it again.

Another Nexus with poor battery life. What the hell

I think it just proves that skins like touch wiz and sense do help battery life. The nexus 6 and note 4 both have a 3220mah battery and similar screen size and the note 4 lasts an hour and then some longer then the nexus 6
