I expect Google to offer some explanation, or maybe even an apology, within a day. There might be a reasonable explanation. The silence sucks, but they may have needed to get to the bottom of the problem first, and know when they can fix it, before announcing anything. It sucks, but if the phone is a killer device, I think most Nexus enthusiasts will forgive and forget a failed launch.

What's funny is that 9/10 of you are going to buy it when you have a chance. And then you'll talk about how Google made up for it by making such a sweet device, and that it was worth the wait.

Bunch of impatient really [language] entitled babies in here.

I want a screen that is 5.7" at the least, and I would much prefer it to be free of Touchwiz. I had the Note 4 already, I returned it because I think it wastes screen space by blowing things up unnecessarily large (my wife's S5 showed identical amounts of content in Chrome, stock browser, Facebook, Twitter, etc, just with smaller text) and I hate, hate, hate Touchwiz. I decided to return it and try the Nexus 6 first and should I, for some reason, not like it, suck it up on Touchwiz and go back to the Note 4.

Some of you may be willing to pass on the Nexus after today, but I'm not and it's mostly because there aren't any other phones that give me what I'm looking for. I had it in my cart twice today and it failed to go to checkout both times, but it is what it is. I'm pissed, but I'm still going to get it.

Hopefully T-Mobile doesn't pull the same crap they pulled with the Nexus 5 and jack the price up $150+ from what it is in the Play Store. Assuming they don't and they also don't put any of their bloatware crap on it, I'll just wait for release and buy it from them because it will probably be easier. Not to mentioned their stated availability of November 12th compared to the ship date of the 21st the people who managed a preorder today are getting.

I mainly wanted to see the new OS Lollipop, I'm really starting to wish I had kept my Nexus 5. I understand what you mean about the Note 4, I don't like touchwiz either. It's a very frustrating experience.

Is there any downside for waiting for T-Mobile on the 12th? By then, there should be enough stock. If not, I assume T-Mobile has better backordering.

As pissed as I am, I really don't see anything else out there that I would even consider to get over the Nexus & I really don't want to hold on to the Nexus 5 any longer. Google should have never stated anything about preorders because it looks like the carriers will be doing the pushing, not the Playstore.

Definitely not trolling. Buuuut - I've had experiences that have made me impatient in the past. I just try not to look like a total [language] when the dust settles.

Everyone feels like they're owed something here. And considering I've been following the device as long as anyone else on here, and am STILL PLANNING ON GETTING IT (GASP), I have a right to discuss dissatisfaction with all of the whiney whine-er-tons in here.

As pissed as I am, I really don't see anything else out there that I would even consider to get over the Nexus & I really don't want to hold on to the Nexus 5 any longer. Google should have never stated anything about preorders because it looks like the carriers will be doing the pushing, not the Playstore.

I really don't either. I already have an Iphone 6 and a Oneplus, so I guess I'm one of the spoiled impatient babies ryan krugar is referring to LOL. I just really wanted the Nexus 6 because it's the Nexus phone I've been waiting for, a Motorola-made one.

While that may be true. We don't know that. Google has been radio silent on everything concerning this phone other than a blog post and a couple of websites. Nobody knows anything. That is where the frustrations lies. If they would just be more transparent, I am sure the majority of us would understand if we know what happened. I know I am getting the phone, and from the play store at that. I know it is a matter of time. But the fact that Google won't say anything, and the fan sites are really quiet too is frustrating and disconcerting.

Yep me too, the Motorola Nexus.. It'll be interesting to see who build it next go round & if they will continues with the 5.9" screen or go with something smaller.

Does anyone have confirmation of that source a couple pages back? They said that Google Play stock was cut because more were sent to the carriers. That would explain the preorders going out of stock, because the Play Store simply wouldn't get restocked for a while.

Tmobile is supposed to be the same price from what I read. That's where Im going. Screw the playstore. You have a better chance to win the lottery.

They were "out of inventory" as quickly as you could hit F5. It literally went from "Coming soon" to "Out of inventory" in less than 5 seconds. Not even apple fan boys can deplete a stock that fast.

They were "out of inventory" as quickly as you could hit F5. It literally went from "Coming soon" to "Out of inventory" in less than 5 seconds. Not even apple fan boys can deplete a stock that fast.

There are some short reviews popping up from some tech sites. I guess Google had an event for the tech press only today. I bet that's why a lot of them haven't said much about what's going on with the pre order system. Here are a couple for you all to check out if you haven't already.
