The Boy Genius Report: Nexus 6 Review - there’s just this little bit missing

Nexus 6 Review: An in-depth review of Google’s Nexus 6 | BGR

Android and iOS are both almost on parity at this point in many ways from a features standpoint, though iOS has that deep integration only possible with Apple owning the entire hardware and software stacks. And it does show; even in a device as good as the Nexus 6, there’s just this little bit missing.

It always feels that way with Google’s Nexus devices, though. You just need a little bit more salt, a pinch more parsley, and another dash of crushed red chilli flakes to complete the dish.

Engadget: Nexus 6 Review - Google shows it can make a big-screen phone

Nexus 6 review: Google shows it can make a big-screen phone

The Nexus 6 is Google's first attempt at a phablet, and is the most premium Nexus we've seen to date. It's powerful, high-res and comes with the latest and greatest version of Android. But be warned that it's difficult to use with one hand, and its battery life is average at best.

Re: Review Round-up!!

Almost had a 64 again a little while ago, but that darn "empty cart" screen popped up. Sigh. Gotta leave for work in a few minutes, so I won't be able to follow the rest of the trickling releases today. Was hoping I could snag a 64, so I could cancel my 32. I imagine today will really be the last chance I have to do so, as I'd bet orders will start shipping early next week. Ah well. 32 will have to do, for me, heh.

Re: Review Round-up!!

Blah, I give up on the 64 GB dream. Just going to live with 32, oh well. At least I'll be getting a phone. ;-)

Its available on the Play store again. Just snagged a Blue 65GB. Shipping Nov 26

Now to decided if I cancel the 32GB order that ships Nov 21 (I probably will)

Yup got my ONE page monitor ding about 10mins ago and within 2 secs, GONE. REALLY? wtf is going on here. This is complete and utter BS. Are they releasing like 5 every Wed at 1pmEST?!?!?

Re: The Verge: Nexus 6 Review - Go bigger or go home

LOL they said the phone is 16gb and 32gb at the end? C'mon man...

Re: The Verge: Nexus 6 Review - Go bigger or go home

That was a pretty positive review from the Verge, I know I'm going to love this phone now (although I was pretty sure I would anyway :) ). This is going to be the best Nexus phone thus far IMHO.

Re: The Verge: Nexus 6 Review - Go bigger or go home

seems like a fair review. most sites are saying the same thing. camera is better than previous Nexus, but still not among the best. battery isn't consistent, but should last you more than a day.

LOL, I love how the N5 is faster than the N6...wtf is going on there?!?

Yeah. A day and a half should be the expectation right now, IMO. If the Nexus 6 can get that, it's a win.

Re: Ars Technica: Nexus 6 Review - The “premium” price still comes with compromises

So I wonder if the slow storage is really the hardware or the fact that lollipop does encryption by default and it's a software optimization issue. Really hoping it's a software issue and not hardware. That's the one thing out of all the reviews that has me a little concerned.

yeah, for me those 2 have always been the biggest weakness of the nexus. at one of them is solved. hopefully with camera update, it will get better. they did improved the nexus 5 camera a little after some updates before, I would expect the same. maybe we'll even get slow motion video and time lapse recording features later on.
