Welcome... but yeah I am just waiting around for a tracking #.... Looks like Motorola is drop shipping from China directly.... Nice of them to take their money from my credit card and then just put me in the dark (and I assume a lot of others as well)

For whatever reason mine appears to be behind schedule.... I ordered on 11/6 and they told me it would ship on 11/13 and as of now it has not... Talked to two other people on here who've confirmed they ordered after I ordered and yet they got tracking and confirmation this morning.... It's like Moto is just pulling names out of a hat like it's a lottery....

Mine didn't ship yet either
Orderd on the 6th..
Told me it will ship on the on the 13th also..
I think were stuck now till after the weekend

such a bummer.. My confirmation email from 11/6 was 12:18 central time..... 12:18 central time I also got an email from my credit card company advising me of a large online charge to check on... if I was aware of the charge just disregard the email.... Also noted it was a preauthorization charge... then just 3 days later I get a second email from my credit card company that the preauthorization was now a full blow charge.....

I got 64 GB blue... Had two people tell me they also ordered and got confirmation emails at like 12:50 and even 1:20 central and their devices shipped last night/early this morning... Moto chat support is now all vague.... They just kept repeating "Will be delivered by 11/19 and will ship from one of our warehouses." On Monday when the charge became final they said it will ship on 11/13....

Just been one frustrating roll out.. but since the 10/29 Play Store folks are not getting shipping confirmations either I guess I should just go back to being happy I was even able to preorder at all.......

One was and one was 32 GB so it's hard to say if that is the deciding factor... Unless the one who said 64 was telling a fib....

why is that funny? Makes sense. Motorola is the manufacturer.

Um, yea, but the fact that you couldn't order from Motorola until a week later and they are getting their shipments out today is what's funny. You would think common principle that if you order first, you get your order first.
Doesn't really matter to me, but yes, it's "funny". And considering Playstore is where the N4/N5 were only sold first at, so makes sense that Playstore orders get fulfilled first, going in line with the N6. "LOL"

That is the other thing I was "HOPING" was true.... On 11/7 I chatted and they told me it leaves the Texas warehouse on 11/13 and then Monday they said China and today from one of our warehouses... Only guess I could make is the early orders will ship today or Monday from Texas and arrive around the same time as the ones that left Thursday in China (Which was technically Friday in China)

Thanks for the info.... I might try and chat with them just to get a totally different answer...

They have some great ones. I have talked to a Guadalupe and a Francisco so far...

Jose...... Said mine is scheduled to ship on Sunday (Monday in China) but should still arrive on 11/19 per the FedEx schedule.... and of course from China.. he said the factory was roughly 50 miles north of Hong Kong but forgets the name.. he was pretty specific... He even knew it was already Saturday morning in China....... So he at least knows how to use Google search...

Well Herberth was as omnipotent as Jose, Guadalupe, and Francisco. He said it was shipping from China but had no idea when. And he said that it was not his department as he worked in sales...lol God Bless em....

and I was still chatting with Jose... he came back and said he was informed that in China they still work/pack/ship on Saturday and Sunday.... I know FedEx and UPS do not do any regular pick up work on Saturday or Sunday... Only delivery for a fee.... But he claims in China they do... Which may be true.. I don't know how accurate that is....... I work in wholesale distribution and we do have a Saturday crew but they just get stuff boxed up and ready for pick up on Mondays.... Saturday is their catch up day and they usually only work 1/2 days on Saturdays or until they get everything caught up... It's also a skeleton crew... No office support people are here..

Maybe for this release they will be working this weekend and Fedex will work with them to make sure the devices get delivered on time. That would make sense, but who knows. Seems like logistically somebody missed the pontoon....

FedEx will pick up on a Saturday but it's not cheap to have it done.. Maybe if they have say 250,000 individual phones to move and another 250,000 going out to carriers like T-Mobile for launch on 11/19..... it would be worth the fee.....

Well there is this gem by Karla about my order:

Karla: I do see that the order has already been exported into the system. The expected delivery date we have is for the 19th. The package was scheduled to be shipped yesterday but due to the high amount of orders we have experienced some delays. However, we are expecting for this packages to be sent out as soon as possible. If the item is picked up today, you will receive the confrmation email with the tracking info around 5pm since that is the time FedEx picks up the packages

So I will go back to my regularly scheduled life and hope I get it Wed of next week...

Fedex will pick up for certain customers for free on saturday and sunday ....the hubs for fedex work all 7 days also so its not a big deal ....they only deliver on m-f and Saturday in some locations but not all

Oh yeah the FedEx Hubs work 7 days a week.. I work in commercial airline sales for a division of Boeing Aerospace and FedEx is one of our customers (as is UPS) they have a sonic service that will pick up and delivery 7 days a week 24/7.... IF YOU REALLY NEED IT!!! I have 24/7 on call people and if I needed I could get someone out to Hong Kong and have the phone tomorrow if I wanted to pay the money it cost to get it done... (and Moto would let me send someone to pick it up for me)

and yes there are certain and very limited regular scheduled Saturday pick up customers.. but they are very far and few between..... We move thousands and thousands of packages every single day and we don't do Saturday pick up because of the cost....

That being said.. New smart phones are not life saving/breaking items... So I can't imagine they have a regular schedule Saturday pick up.... But I have been wrong before and will be wrong again.....
