Google Nexus 6 Shipping updates thread

Ordered 11/5 and got shipping confirmation just now! -_- I was considering canceling order and buying from tmobile before this happened lol.

I am one of the poor fools awaiting T-Mobile tomorrow, but in preparation I ordered a case on Amazon...and am prime member...was supposed to be here today, it was delayed by carrier! It's like the nexus gods want us to be miserable...

First that Motorola had the production and there are a crapload of phones sitting in Los Angles waiting to clear due to that strike.

I seriously doubt they sent them via container ship into Los Angeles.... It takes 17 - 20 DAYS to make that 6,000+ mile voyage from Hong Kong to Long Beach California (The biggest port for container ships)

Motorola usually pays FedEx 2 day shipping for orders in the states... but I bet they ship cases and cases FedEx international economy from China to Texas and then a much cheaper 2 day rate to customers... They are eating a pretty penny shipping individual phones International Priority from China... Maybe Google is helping out with some of that $60 billion in cash they have on hand for the initial wave of devices and once things settle down everything will go back to normal... but right now their per device cost to ship has to be pretty high and eating into their profits.. If it's because of Google and Lollipop then I'd bet Google is footing at least part of the bill..

But maybe they did sent a couple hundred thousand via slow boat from China.... Couldn't get any weirder than it's been so far....

Man. This is getting ridiculous. I don't even care that I don't the phone now, but people that ordered on the 29th should get theirs shipped out first. Not to mention to $19 I paid for 1 day shipping.
Google needs to make this right for those people. That's just bad business.

I also got my shipping notice from Google. I ordered on Nov 5th. Blue 64GB. No delivery info yet.

Update: Phone arriving Thursday using regular shipping.

T-Mobile is putting them on sale at Midnight Pacific time tonight.... If you are trying to get a 64 GB you might need to stay up late and take your chances online....

I received my shipping notice too. I ordered 32 GB blue on 11/05. No arrival date yet.

I'm sorry you haven't heard anything yet. I've ordered lots of phones and this has happened to me before also. It's happened to me with Google before, but not just them. I've had this happen with At&t also. I preordered the Iphone 6 Plus from At&t because Apples site crashed.

Launch day came and went and I, along with several others got nothing. Long story short, I ended up tracking one down at the Apple store and getting it there, canceling my pre order while in line. Up until this year Apple is the only company that can handle orders well, and they didn't really do that bad this year, their website just got overwhelmed.

You might be able to call them and get the shipping waived. i don't know for sure that will work, but I've read of it working in the past.

Yeah, this is kind of ridiculous. I mean, it's a phone so I'm trying to keep perspective. But still, if I ordered first, I would think I would receive the product first.

So I ordered on the 6th and I was given the Delivery date of December 2nd. I thought "Oh well that's just a precautionary measure, I'm sure they'll update it and they'll ship sooner once the kerfuffle died down.

Nope. Mine still hasn't shipped and I've received zero updates. Kind of pissing me off if I'm being honest.

Yeah, this is kind of ridiculous. I mean, it's a phone so I'm trying to keep perspective. But still, if I ordered first, I would think I would receive the product first.

As long as you receive the phone by the shipping estimate at the time of ordering, I don't think Google is unfair. Although I can certainly understand your frustration. My advice is to relax and let it come when it comes (easy for me to say; I haven't ordered yet!).

I remember a previous Nexus launch (I don't remember if it was the Nexus 5 last year or the Nexus 4 in 2012) where a list was started to post the MINUTE you ordered, to see if the orders were shipping in order of being received. That seemed a bit over the top to me!

This happens every year. Now, I'm not saying it should, but it does. We should expect it by now. That way we can be pleasantly surprised if the order goes right through, the devices are available, and we receive them in a timely fashion.

Plane landed at 10:38. Hoping to see a destination scan soon. And they a left facility scan. I hope yours is on a plane to Dallas soon or is already in route...

I was also wondering the same thing. I ordered white and still says pending on my credit card statement. Shipping date is still Nov 21
