Google Now

Does anyone else here find Google Now completely useless and redundant? Any way to disable this or eliminate it?

Yes, I do not use it at all. Open it then hit menu and settings, then google now. There you can turn it off in the upper right hand corner. Its just a battery waster for me.

I find it great on my Nexus 7 actually. It keeps me up to date on my fav sports team and has actually shown me directions/traffic for a route I was going on without prompting. Pretty impressive. It does need some more functionality, but the initial stuff is pretty good.

I would never use it on NS4G though because the battery is awful, but the Nexus 7 lasts for about 11 hours of actual usage.
