Google pill off center

Periodically, I notice the little pill is half off the screen. When this occurs most of the time I have to restart my phone. Once in awhile I have to open an app for a few minutes and then close it before the pill appears in the correct spot. Not a big deal in the scheme of things, but annoying nontheless. Has anybody else ever had this ever happen to them?

I'm using the standard Pixel launcher.

I thought the standard pixel launcher had updated to the new look like on the Pixel 2's? Or is that just us on the 8.1 beta?

That's just 8.1 beta.

It's beta. So problems like this will crop up. You should report it to Google.

I'm not on the beta , but I did get a Google stopped working notification today. so I reported it as well as the pixel pill issue I am having.

I've also seen that problem on my Google pixel XL 128gb phone. It also normally goes away after a little while but I agree that it is kind of annoying.

I've had this happen for a few months now. I uninstalled the google update and restarted. Seemed to help the pill off screen and stabilized google app from random crash notifications.
