Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

Got my 2 XL a couple hours ago - transferred data and all set up. The screen doesn't bother me. Haven't checked to see if all of the bluetooth problems with Oreo on my Pixel are fixed, but I'm getting fitbit notifications, which I didn't on the Pixel.

I just got done with a live chat with Google Play support. I was transferred to a Shipping and Refunds specialist. He was checking on my order, and pretty much the best he could tell me is that my estimated shipping date is 10/17/17. Great! Thanks! He says he is researching my order and will update me when he can. He said it would be better if we communicated with me via email.

I asked him what was it about my order that made it so mysterious. He said there's nothing wrong with my order, but they're working very hard to deal with a whole lot of orders.

The email I received said "I've escalated your case to our product specialists, and we'll follow-up with you in the next 1-2 business days."

Needless to say, I am somewhat miffed...

It's "better" for him and Google. That way they don't have to deal with you and they can take their time starting a new order for you.

I've been on the phone with Google now for 10 minutes to verify something about my order and after 10 minutes, the lady still has no idea what my question is. So I'm escalating the call to a supervisor.

Be glad you ordered through Verizon. I ordered from the Google store minutes after orders went live on Oct 4th (64gb Panda) and my ship date is Nov 13.

Same - I ordered a 64gb Panda, presumably minutes after you did, and my ship date is Nov 17.

Keep in mind everybody that delivery times are overly conservative. All shipping times maybe or may not be close to Accurate, the delivery dates being shown are for approximately four to five days after the shipping date. Don't be concerned about that, I'm in Phoenix and mine is shipping from Illinois and is only taking 2 days to get from there to here, according to FedEx Tracking. Hopefully it's accurate

Got my shipping confirmation from Google very early this morning. Confirmed the tracking number with FedEx and it seems to have left Carol Stream Illinois

For those wondering, via Ontrac in Southern California, delivered into my hands 12:45 pm, no signature required. By the way, I didn't even get an updated tracking number that it was going to be delivered today until early this morning.

For those who ordered the Quite Black 2 XL 128g and have late shipping dates, expect it to ship earlier...

If you go and try and order one right now, it ships on 10/22.

Of course, if you want the Panda, it waitlists you.... and we all no the the waitlist is a total waste of time. I've had items on the waitlist in the past and was NEVER notified when it became available.

I ordered from Google Store on the 4th just after pre-orders opened up. Pixel 2, black, 64 GB.

I'll update my post with that info for others wondering as well.

Ridiculous. Same order date/time, same model.... Ontrac says it was missorted and being held 6 hours away instead of just sending it!!

No complaints from me.

Our next-to-useless legislature has a tentative budget agreement so I guess the state will be open tomorrow for my Pixel delivery -

Just got my shipping notification for my 128GB Black Pixel 2. This is gonna make some people angry, but just so as that you have the facts, I ordered mine on Oct 15. Shipped Fedex standard overnight, should arrive tomorrow or Friday. I'm in NC.

So shipping notifications are still going out today. And it seems like it really doesn't matter when you placed your order in terms of if you get a phone.

At this point the tracking number isn't valid in Fedex's system yet, I would imagine it'll update sometime tomorrow.

Still nothing.... My live case was delivered today (on a positive note) and it still isn't showing delivered under my orders on the Google store, so, maybe there is hope that my Pixel order has shipped. Maybe the system is backlogged to some degree.
