Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

I'm in NJ and my xl2 64gb black had a ship date of 10/23 and it went out yesterday around 3pm,got the tracking #around 4pm and will be delivered 10/25 by end of day.
Wish I didn't care about the color. I'd ditch my Panda and get a black one. Ah well. I'm on a Note 8 currently so waiting is not as hard as it could have been
 
Ordered XL Black 64g Tuesday 10/17 around 10pm, received shipping notification on Thursday night 10/19 around midnight, phone arrived yesterday, Monday 10/23 around noon via fedex. Not having any issues that had me worried reading this forum. Yes it has a blue tint when looking from the side, but that is a non issue. Super pleased so far.
 
My card finally showed a pending charge starting on Sunday, and I haven't been able to cancel or edit since then, but like a lot of others I haven't seen movement or an email since.
 
Mine is supposed to ship today. I'd probably just cancel if I still had the option so I will get the phone and see if I can live with the mounting screen issues.

Funny the Panda people are more concerned about the color of the back of their phone rather then the actual screen.

I am not worried about the screen since the reviewers I trust even said it wasn't a big thing to them. They admitted some may not like it but why not try for myself? You may cancel and other things due to what someone else says -- I don't work that way. If I did that I would literally still be on a flip phone.

I asked CS, of course they have no info. Their script is to say that as long as the order hasn't changed that delivery should be by the stated date of tomorrow or Thursday. I'm thinkin' good luck with that one........

That would be good news/bad news. Not sure how I feel about it.

They said the same for me. I feel pandas are stuck whereas blacks are okay.
 
Mine shipped yesterday. Got it today. Black 2 XL, 64 GB, unlocked. Ordered from Google Store on October 4th. Getting it setup as we speak.

The two are mutually exclusive. I have mild concerns about the final outcome of the screen and I want Panda which is actually an advantage in my case. I have an End of November date which gives me more time for Google to sort it out and for me to make up my mind.

This is crazy. I ordered the exact same phone several days prior to your order and mine is not even scheduled to ship until the 29th.

What is wrong with Google?

Did you order the unlocked or Verizon model? Shipping times vary by that option.

Well, this is disappointing since I ordered my same model on 10/5 and it still has not shipped yet.

They seem to still be shipping out. If they planned to fix the screen issues, or do a recall in the future, I would think all shipments would stop for now.

Google needs to speak to the screen issues and get ahead of all the bad publicity. They have been largely silent.

I ordered the unlocked version.

As an aside, I've been playing around with the Google store and I've observed that Verizon phones seem to have a longer wait than unlocked.

Wow, that was quick, cool. I ordered an unlocked smaller pixel 2 days later than that and was given a 3 week wait to ship. Wish it would just get here. Especially since I took advantage of being able to sell my HTC 10. I’m androidless ATM and using an iPhone 7.
