Pixel 2 has the best camera in my opinion. I agree I hope it is even better...

I sort of agree. Hardware-wise i'd go with the pretty impressive three camera setup on the Huawei P20 Pro. I have both the Pixel 2 Xl and the P20 Pro and in lowlight, the P20 beats anything out there.

The P20 also has very good manual controls and telescope up to 5x. You can also shoot black and white with its monochrome sensor.

The software processing is where the pixel shines. I feel more confident that I can point and shoot and take a great picture with no work compared to the P20 that needs a little work sometimes. Also in certain situations the processing on the P20 try to over sharpen the image. Oh and the selfie camera is trash compared to the pixel.

I'm just hoping google addresses the screen issues with the Pixel 2 xl and bumps up the size of the pixel 2. 5.0 is just too small. 5-3-5.5 would be perfect for the smaller version.

Is it really too small? There are many people who have used small phones in the past (everyone) so I am not against having a top tier phone with a smaller screen. It just works better for life. Fits in your pocket more, easier to play with one hand, even with a case it isn't too bulky. I like that they have two phones one large and one small, I have the XL and I believe I shall go down to the Pixel 3 in size next time. There comes a point of diminishing returns on screen size. I'm not out here watching feature length films on my phone....so just make it extra sharp and I am good.

What I really hope for is 5G, I know it won't happen until the Pixel 4 because Google is bare bones, but I would like to experience that!

I don't know who's in charge of phone hardware design on the Pixel team, but they need to get someone else. While I like the phones, it's definitely not because of the hardware, and year after year they're coming up with (imo) ugly designs that look like behind the competition.

Pretty much every other phone with a notch looks to have a smaller notch and thinner bottom bezel.

Oh well, here's hoping it's got a stellar camera and software experience.

I am hoping with the HTC team now joining the Pixel team, we see a redesign for the Pixel 4. HTC, Huawei and Samsung have made some beautiful flagship devices.

Agreed. Heck look at the Essential phone, if the camera was not such a disaster that phone would have been amazing. Why can't Google produce a phone that looks as good as the iPhone? Where is the innovation, isn't the Pixel the device where great software is matched with great hardware, these are not Nexus devices anymore. These phone's are supposed to be what all the other phone companies strive to create and I feel like Google has taken a backseat when it comes to physical design. Right now if I asked for a phone the had both beautiful aesthetics and design and a great software experience, I do not think the Pixel would make the top 5 or heck maybe not even the top 10.

I enjoy metal backs more than glass and have never particularly wanted wireless charging. But I'd be lying if I said it's not going to be nice to finally be able to actually use the wireless charging pad that's built into my truck.
