Google Pixel Common Issues

I'm about to open my self gifted Google Pixel this Christmas and would appreciate if anyone could expand on the MOST common issues known with this device that I should test immediately to know whether I should either return or request a replacement device. So far I'm aware of the following:

- Speaker distortion when volume is raised all the way up.
- Camera lens flare
- Bluetooth signal dropping (particularly when connecting to a car)
- Reception signal weak/dropping

Any others?

My Pixel XL has the speaker problem, but only at max volume. I never would have noticed it if I hadn't read about it here.

Camera lens flare? I don't take a huge number of pics with my phone, but I haven't noticed flare that is significantly worse than with any previous phone. Certainly not enough to bother me.

"Bluetooth signal dropping (particularly when connecting to a car)" - I have no problems using Bluetooth with my car, a VW eGolf. Also, I use Bluetooth earbuds (Jaybird X2's) at the gym, five mornings x 90 minutes a week, and have never had a signal drop incident that I can recall. Okay, except in one position where there is a lot of body mass between my phone and my earbuds; my Nexus 6P did the exact same thing in that same position.

I am on Google's Project Fi network which uses (in my area) T-Mobile and Sprint towers. Weak/dropping signal? Never had that problem.

I do not have have Bluetooth or signal issues at all. The Speaker issue is only at high volume with the Mummy Video only. Although sun flare is a known problem. I have not seen it as of yet. I have been taking great pictures.

The most common issue is that YOU CAN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE!!!! All of that aside there isn't much lol I would say the speaker issue is the biggest even though apparently a custom ROM can fix it. The camera thing stinks too though I have not seen it.

If you're looking for problems, we'll find on any phone. Why not just enjoy your phone, if anything isn't up to your satisfaction, address that then.

Great! I think those issues are all overblown by the tech tabloids (including AC) for click bait. I have not had any of those problems with my Pixel. It has literally been the best phone I've ever had.

I couldn't agree more.. minor issues at best. My Pixel is easily the best phone I've ever owned.

Lucky you have a good phone that works and has no issues. It's not that same experience for all though.Go on the Google forums that talk about all the issues a lot are experiencing. I would call them everything but "minor issues at best"

i'm willing to give any manufacturer, especially Google, some leeway regarding minor issues. i say minor, because MOST of what I read from others comes down to specific tastes and not really functional issues or they are isolated issues to a specific/small number of users... let's say 100,000 phones were sold and 10 had issues ... that's fairly normal.

I'm not dismissing anyone's individual frustrations, but they are definitely the exception and not the standard.
