Google Pixel Hacked In Under 60 Seconds

Holy cow. Is that exclusive to 7.1 or something that impacts all Devices?

I sure hope so.... What about our own Private information being leaked?......

That shouldn't be an issue at all, this "hack" was completed with physical access to the device and shows no signs of being able to be used to access a user's google account password nor anything on Google's servers directly.

It just means it needs to be patched. Like any vulnerability once it's discovered the devs should patch it. That's why they have these white hacking competitions to find this stuff out.

This is where one of those times updates directly from Google are good. Issue gets found, Google fixes, and the patch comes right to your phone without issue.

Not entirely a real world vulnerability, nonetheless humiliating as Google was just bragging about its security the other day.

With these types of vulnerabilities found it shouldn't be much a worry with the Pixels as they'll be patched in a monthly security update. If it's a vulnerability that affects Nougat as a whole or even lower versions, think of all those mid range and budget phones out there that don't get as many updates if any.

That's when it becomes more worrisome using your accounts on those type of phones. These vulnerabilities will be present long after they are published publicly.

Wow... kind of scary, but let's be honest it's not the only phone out there like this.
