Trust me, it was 100 at launch and then they decreased it to 25. I wish I had ordered it from them in the first place though. Oh well, live and learn.

Maybe it was different by area but I did order day one from Best Buy and it showed 100 for the pixel 2 and 2xl as 25. Was very tempted to get the 2xl until I saw the difference.

If you buy it or Finance it out right it does not require a line, you do monthly payments with Verizon, it would require a line, I'm a Cricket customer, Verizon's too expensive for me,

Not if you pay full price. They only need Verizon stuff if upgrading / doing a payment plan.

I also Ordered my through Best Buy because they XL was out of stock on Google. On my order it says they start shipping on the 19th but no exact date on shipping. I figured it would be faster then having to wait through the google "wait list"

Be watchful when ordering phones at Best Buy. Had to get my wife a new iPhone a few months ago and went to best buy out of ease. Fortunately I did my research first and found the same phone through VZW was cheaper than at Best buy. When I brought this up to the salesman, he argued with me, that it was not possible and he would know because he's the Verizon rep at best buy. He finally looked it up and found I was right and they price matched. Moral of the story is they may have higher prices.

On a funny side note. Was at a different store a few weeks ago and decided to see if they had the Essential in stock. The salesman had never heard of the phone and when she tired to look it up on their website, she just assumed it was made by Samsung and searched for a Samsung Essential...

Anyone get a shipping notice from bestbuy yet? I really want the Panda but I'm thinking about switching to a black XL from Google since it will ship on the 22nd
EDIT: ship date is now the 29th! added a week wait in the 2 hours since I last checked it!

I thought I saw somewhere that BB would have the phones on the 19th - if there is one close to you it might be worth the trip.

Tried the link a few times today day and nothing.

I was thinking of stopping by Best buy today. My plan is to get one there then cancel with Google.

I just don't get it, I preordered the phone even before Google talked about preorder info. 1246pm est and there's people days later getting deliveries.

Just doesn't make sense unless it's an issue with the Blue version? Has anyone gotten shipment for a blue one?

Joe - you have nothing to lose by stopping into BB - like last year, the blue version seems to be the rare one, along with this year's "panda" version.

Trying to make sense out of Google's Pixel, or Pixel 2, launch process is a waste of time.
