Google Pixel XL - Preorder /order/shipping thread

ORDER UPDATE
We called Verizon last night at about 5p.m. CT. The Verizon rep went through the notes on our order with us and it was as follows. Verizon Rep "So I see here that your order was placed on 10-18-16, and we said it would ship on 11-11-16" Me "YEP" Verizon Rep "And then the order changed to 11-26-16" Me "YEP, and since then we have received no notification or hint as to what the hell is going on" Verizon Rep " I'm sorry about that, sir. I have a note on your account that says it was supposed to ship on 12-2-16, but that is now in the past" Me "YEP" Verizon Guy "Well I do not see any shipment updates for your account, so I'm afraid I will not be able to update you on this today, you will need to check back later". ME " What do I have to do to have this on your priority list" Verizon Guy " Sir, I'm afraid that even if I put you on the priority list it won't do any good, but we can try it" ME "Thinking in my head - **** you give me my phone" "So what do you suggest I do?" Verizon Guy "If you need a new phone right at this moment I'll be honest, get a different phone because I don't think you will get this phone this year, would you like to cancel your order today, sir?" ME " YES, BUT NO. Please keep the order in process" Verizon Guy "Okay sir, we will." ME "is this a Google Problem or a Verizon problem?" Verizon Guy "Sir, this is a Google Problem, Is there anything else I can help you with today? Me "No". Verizon Guy "Okay have a good night, and Happy Holidays. Thank you for calling Verizon Wireless (Hangs up) Me "thinking in my head - **** you and thank you for wasting my time, and everyone else that is desperately waiting for this new phone" I hope you all enjoyed, this is a true story by the way. The whole reason I'm after a new phone is because my current phone has battery swell and runs hot, drains battery excessively (Samsung Galaxy S6)... I'm sure everyone has a story, but come on Verizon, this is insane after awhile.
 
Verizon is putting a lot of us through the same scenario...do what you have to do to get the Pixel sooner, order through the Google Store. Right now no Pixel XLs in stock, I will post if I see something online.

Sounds like the interactions I've had. So what's the best way to get Google's attention? Maybe if we let them know that Verizon is blaming them for all of the problems they will respond.
 
To reiterate, I preordered the Pixel XL 128GB Black from Verizon on October 20, 2016. My original proposed shipping date was November 18th. On November 19th, my shipping date was changed to December 26th. So why would I wait that long for the Pixel and be screwed over by a Carrier I've had for 14 years??!! I cancelled my order and started watching the Google Store. Within 4 days, my phone was in stock and I ordered it. 4 days later, I had my Pixel XL.
 
I'm watching stock too... I'm thankful I have one of those careers that I get plenty of interweb time.

The thing for me, I have to stick with Verizon only because of our huge company plan, our cell dealer treats us so good so I'm doing this for our relationship with them. Who knows, maybe they don't care, but it sure seems like they do. I should just order an extra one off the Google Store, or maybe a One Plus 3T for $hit$ and Giggles to have in the time being.
 
Got a text saying if I don't return my note 7 they will charge me full price for it......but no picked news
 
I did too. On the phone with them now. My Note 7 was returned 11/17. Verizon has failed every step of the way during this whole ordeal.
 
I'm still using my note 7. Haven't allowed the update to download so this phone isn't a PIA yet. I have not received any news about my note other than the weekly or so text reminder it has been recalled.

Checking on my pixel xl order using the Verizon app it has now disappeared. Not the usual check back later. Signing in thru the web browser it still shows processing with no expected ship date.
 
chillywig i just had that limbo for a few days i thought i was going to get it shipped...nope i just got the email saying my order has been moved to 1/13 oh and a 10$ gift card yippie
 
I just got that email and the $10 gift card offer for 1/13 ship date too. I ordered on October 20th and this is the first notice of any kind. Heck, by then we will be talking about the Pixel 2!

Since ordering on 10-21 my date was changed from 11-18 to 12-26 to 1-13 then disappeared. Never had any updates from Verizon

I just can't bring myself to throw down 1k all at once. I've always had my phones on contract or payment plans
