Google Pixel XL - Preorder /order/shipping thread

That is so crazy. It would be neat if Verizon would just come forward and tell us what the hell is going on. Yea, neat would be the word....
 
Could be some potential differences in manufacturing steps or hardware. If it's even slightly different, I'd assume the supplies are on different pace.

Heck even having to flash Verizon bloat apps and boot loader would be an extra step. Personally I prefer the unlocked version. Better resale since it's not carrier specific.
 
Please don't buy the iPhone! You know you'll be sick of it in a month or so...
It looks like I'm not going to have to. I was on my way to the store to cancel and decided to give it one more shot and call Verizon. CSR gave me a welcome update that my phone has been released for shipment!!! Called my store rep and she have told me the same. Fingers crossed I should have my phone by the end of the week.

Order 10/17 estimated delivery date 11/11, changed to 11/26 no updates until today, still no updates visible online except now it shows order # not the preorder # and location code. I've called CSR probably 5 times a day since 11th and requested jump the line multiple times so I'm not sure if any of that had any effect. Again I'm not believing it 100% until I see a tracking number or the phone on the doorstep but this time it looks like they are really shipping the phone.

Good luck to you. I jumped on this bandwagon late and ordered 11/14 and have had an estimated delivery of 12/26 since l placed the order. If they can meet that I'll be happy since I knew it going in although I'm getting really antsy to have it already.....I own three cases and a screen protector and don't have the phone lol
 
So a stupid question can I buy the fi insurance if I'm not going to keep fi? Any other companies out there for insurance besides Worth Avenue group?
 
I was told by a Verizon CSR today that Verizon had some in store on Black Friday but sold out immediately. If that is the case that is total BS. Was also informed that the Verizon stores are on a different list to receive devices vs the customer of Verizon. Not sure what to believe but any update from Google or Verizon would be greatly appreciated.

Asurion. They provide insurance for Verizon phones, but I think that you can insure yours as well. Go to their website and let us know. Good luck

i jpined this site just so i can post this garbage. i have been following this post since mid oct since it was speculated verizon may not get their phones. here i am a wole month n half later. I been calling every other day and especially since nikola80ser ordered a day before me everything else we have the same and hes seeing movement. i called today and they are still telling me 12/26 hoping to hAVE SOME LUCK

congrats to everyone with this device between ur thumbs

Hang in there, I feel your pain. Until today I was getting the same thing as you are, every time I've called Verizon. Even today they've told me I'm better off cancelling if I can't wait until 12/26 just to find out after my third call that there is actually a movement on my order. I got tracking number and should get the phone on Thursday. I hope you get yours soon as well. Don't trust anything CSR are telling you. They are clueless when it comes to pixel shipping dates. Absolutely and completely clueless.
 
Yes the Verizon reps were giving me the wrong info every time I called. My Oct. 20th order for the Pixel XL 128gb was supposed to ship on Nov. 18th and got changed to Dec. 26. Now that's more than 2 months for an online order from verizonwireless.com and it's ridiculous. Plus the reps kept assuring me it would ship on Nov. 18th up until it didn't and it was updated to Dec. 26th on Nov. 19th. Do yourself a favor and keep checking the Google Store. If you order it in stock you will have it within 5 days.
 
For those who ordered off Google store, how long did it take to ship? Been about 36 hours for me... Still no ship.
