yeah i actually get emails from that instock link posted above everytime i get a alert i can make a order googles inventory is getting full stocking at least 3 times a day. but in good news they shipped my s2 classic smart watch which wasnt supposed to ship until 12/12.so im really believing it might be before 12/26

Verizon Pixel bootloader unlock tool now available I trust Verizon with immediate updates as much as I believe their shipping date promises...good luck.

I've been burned enough by Verizon and my Priv, I'm sticking with Google.

Coming from a handful of Verizon phones over the years (Galaxy S, Galaxy S3, and Motorola Droid Turbo), I understand the frustration with updates and Verizon. All manufacturers are absurdly lax and slow with Android updates to their models, and Verizon piles on with dragging their feet on releasing those updates to the models on their network.

I've seen the Pixel updates in action, and I've personally seen a Verizon Pixel get an OTA update before the Google Pixel received the same update, only within a few hours of each other, but still. The Verizon updates are released at the exact same time by Google as the Google variant updates. If you don't want to wait for the OTA for whatever reason, they are immediately available for download directly from Google to be manually installed on the phone. To me, it looks exactly like the update model to iOS, which makes me very happy to see.

another quick verizon quirk i wake up and check my verizon as i have been trained to do since this fiasco lol, my verizon showed my s2 classic shipping hours before i got the notification from verizon a good 4-5 hours before they "alerted" me

I wish I'd looked at other shipping options. It would be delivered Saturday except that I had it set for the office and they chose Home Delivery. I'd almost rather have SmartPost.

Squaretrade will be your only option if you missed the Google coverage, and that's easy to do in the haste of ordering an item that can sell out at any second.

Squaretrade is probably just as good as the Google protection. Verizon's monthly protection plan with Asurion will not cover an unlocked non-Verizon phone.

Someone said in earlier post that during asurion open enrollment any phone could be added to the insurance

Squaretrade is legit. I've had repairs done and they send a box to ship to them and back to you for free. Fast service, though it's not next day like asurion.

I spoke directly to a Verizon Wireless Rep and he made a call to Asurion while he put me on hold. They will not cover an unlocked non-Verizon cellphone. It has to be a Verizon bought or Verizon-branded phone.

I had then from a Costco purchase once. They were pretty good. 5 day turnaround and a brand new phone. I'd do it again.

Yep. That was my experience with a laptop and squaretrade. They couldn't fix it and I got a check for the full amount I paid for it.

I decided to pull the trigger on a 1 year square trade for 59 bucks, next year will auto renew at 89. Not a bad deal. Also picked up a zizo wireless mil spec case on amazon for a steal of a price 14.99 (normally 34-59 on zizo site and it even comes with tempered glass screen protector and love same day pickup at amazon locker for 3.99 not bad for 20 bucks
eventually want a life proof but the zizo will definately tide me over til the lifeproof comes out

I can't say what is happening for pending orders placed earlier, but if you buy today 12/1, the shipping date is 1/13!!

My order (QB XL 128GB) from 10/26 still says expected shipping is 12/02, hoping beyond hope that holds true.
