I'm so glad that I ordered from Google, I ordered on Monday evening (QB XL 128GB), shipped on Tuesday and it looks like I will have it in my hands today... Besides the fact that if I ordered from Verizon using my upgrades to get a "discount", my monthly bill would have jumped by so much that over the course of the 2 year financing from Google I would have paid way more than the actual price of the phone to Verizon... and I would have lost my unlimited data...

If you want the phone sooner you've got to go through the Google Store. I had been trying to find this phone for about a week. Heard about the Verizon Black Friday deal and they had no XL's in stock anywhere in San Diego County. Just two days ago I placed an order on the Google Store for a 128 GB XL and I'm getting it today.

I actually just received my Pixel XL 128GB in black. I am returning the Silver one that I received on 11/25 to the Google Store. So I managed to order and receive 2 Google Pixels from the Google Store in a 10 day period, whereas Verizon isn't shipping any and there are none in their stores. Imagine that.

For all the scaredy-cats out there, here is an update about using a Verizon sim in a Pixel bought directly from the Google Store unlocked, of course. The rep gave me a hard time in a verizon wireless corporate store about putting a new sim in my pixel. He took the sim from my active iphone 7 and popped it in the Pixel-that works. But I got home, called Verizon Wireless and complained that I wanted a new SIM to activate my NEW Pixel! Anyway, I received it in the mail in 2 days, I went on the verizonwireless.com site to my account and followed the steps to activate a new sim in my new phone. Very simple, though I did have to retrieve an text message code that they sent to another line on my family plan! So if you have a computer, another phone and a new sim from Verizon, you can activate yourself no phones calls to customer service and only a few hoops to jump through!

I did the exact same thing! Received the silver one on Tuesday, didn't even open the box since I ordered the black the night before and the black was delivered at home today. So within 7 days I could have had two Pixel XL's if I wanted.

Personally I think Google is the problem.....they are filling the orders for themselves first before shipping any 128gb to vzw......so I say its a failure on googles part

Well, it's a relief to know I'm not crazy! I wanted the black one too, the white border distracts the hell out of me! I just mailed the silver one back to Google, dropped it off at FedEx. I love the black one!

Just an update: got my Pixel XL 128 QB in the mail about 4 hours ago. I've been uploading all of my apps, music, ringtones, etc...really liking it so far!

My Verizon QB 128gb XL is supposed to ship today. I'm not getting my hopes up, but my pre-order number has changed to a different order number in MyVerizon. Anybody know what this means?

When my pre order number changed the phone shipped within 24h and I got tracking number. Order date 10/17 silver xl 128 on Verizon, delivery date 11/11 delayed to 11/26 shipped 11/29 still on a f.... FedEx truck for the last two days. I really wish they were shipping via UPS since my experience with them is much, much better.

Pretty hard not to get my hopes up now haha. I ordered on 10/17 too and it was originally supposed to ship on 10/28. I've had bad experiences with both, but we'll see what happens.
