Google play store acting up.

The google play store app on my Pixel has been acting up these two days (well... it's actually been a while since I lase used it until yesterday).

First, the store app would crash immediately after open, stating google play store app keeps crashing. I then cleared cache, cleared data, and eventually disabled the app and after a few reboots, I am finally able to open the app. However, the scaling on some areas are just way off. Say the install icon on an app will take up 1/3 of my screen space; when clicking on the three lines and open up menus, tabs such as My apps & games, Movies, Music, Books etc are all gigantic, and take up 1/4 screen length each.

Anyone had this issue? How do I fix this?

Are you on 8.0, or the 8.1 beta?

Thanks for moving my question to the right place, mod!

I just realized tonight that the issue was actually due to one of my dark themes- Sai's fresh theme and substratum acting up. I ended up having to reinstall all apps associated with getting the dark themes work, and my issue was fixed. This process was painful though, as you can imagine, trying to install apps again while the play store wouldn't stay opened.

I hope my experience would help someone in the future when they search for similar issues!
