Google Play Store keeps crashing on my Samsung Trend Plus.

I have a Samsung Trend Plus, I've barely done much with it and it's laggy as hell, like I can barely put my password in without something not working. And I have been able to go to the google play store whenever i tried, but now whenever click on it, it opens for two seconds and then crashes. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Plz I need to get an app for something important.
