No, you stated Galaxy S and he stated that it didn't come out til then. I suppose he will be the one to clarify on that note though if he chooses to do so. I've mostly been on the side of the iPhone in this thread but I take statements as they're given, not as it best suits me and as it was given, the statistics are there. Leaves an awful taste in my mouth to back the worst cell phone company in history.

Every time something comes out for one of the mobile operating systems, this debate will break out once again.

Apple had a 3 year head start and TONS of advertising. It is not remotely the same thing. It is like saying Apple must be a failure because Blackberry way outsold them before the iPhone came out. It';s a ridiculous argument.

Something has already come of it. Apple people are now forced to shut up about copying. That has not happened before. Apple has become so blatant at it, that they can no longer even bring it up.
The Galaxy S series did not exist before 2010. There was one called just "galaxy" but it was not released in the US.

The Galaxy S4 sold 40 million units in it's first 6 months alone. I'm assuming it is a lot higher than that now. And S5 sales have been even better. If you add up all the Galaxy phones (like the mini) as well as the Note phones, it's way beyond 200 million. And none of those are low end products.
So, you want to compare the 5s with any Android phone? Go ahead and choose one. I'll wait.

I am saying that iPhones have outsold the Galaxy S series since the S came out. I'm not counting the time before the S was out.

Collectively, high end Android phones outsell iPhones. I think we've established that.
So...why did you use the 200 million figure if you knew it was wrong? You seem pretty misinformed about Android sales figures in general. I have to wonder how accurate your iPhone estimates are as well.
Where? I kinda doubt that. Not saying it's totally untrue but I doubt it. Plus at that point you have to determine what dictates high end.

This is despite the fact that Apple had a huge head start of 3 years, less competition, waged obnoxious frivolous lawsuits over trivial features, and way more (and better) advertising. Samsung products had to be phenomenal to do what they have done.

So we know that the S4 alone sold 40 million units in 6 months. Add to that all the other high end phones (anything like an S3 or better) and that far exceeds the figures Apple is showing IMO.
