Google search bar no longer works

This just started happening this morning. I can type something in the search bar, but get no results. If I use voice to ask about the weather, it does return results. If I use voice to ask about local restaurants, I get a verbal answer "Here are some local restaurants", but the screen is blank. No results ever show up. Restarting the phone did nothing. Anyone else?

How about clearing cache/data for the Google app?

For whatever reason, after a couple days of it not working, it seems to be back to normal. Very strange.

Maybe a server issue?

It happened both on the LTE network and when connected to my home WiFi. Were you suggesting a server problem at Google? I haven't seen anyone else mention this.

Yep, I meant on Google's side. I've encountered little hiccups like this from time to time, although it usually only seems to last for a short time -- I usually chalk it up to some server issue.
