Google search on home screen

New to Samsung (from Moto) with a new Galaxy S5 and someone just showed me that out of the box saying "OK Google" right on the home screen activates Google search. Pretty cool!

However, I'd already moved by Google widget to a secondary home screen and how that doesn't work. If I first touch the widget to get into Google search saying "OK Google" works just fine, but not from the home screen. I have, of course, been changing all kinds of settings since I got the phone a couple of days ago.

Any idea how I can get that to work again from the home screen? Maybe there's a setting I'm not seeing?

I've got the same problem. But then again I don't use the default launcher so I'm guessing that's why it won't work for me.:-[

Well, its working again! Just noticed last night. Had changed some settings a couple of days ago but didn't THINK it would have anything to do with this. I'm nearly sure I changed only my location reporting from "Power Saving" to "High Accuracy."

Well, if anyone has any insight, I'm all ears.
