Google Shamu: Motorola Nexus 6 (Nexus X)

During the 2 days before the N5 being released last year there was pictures of it taken by staff of phone shops as they got their stock in. If it is to be released this week then expect the same in the next few days. I tend to agree that this week seems a bit soon as there is a real lack of leaks. It could just be that Google have been super tight this year in regards to leaks.

Maybe but can any company really be super tight with their information these days, the number of companies/people involved in a phones production/release means its bound to get leaked. Anyway hope there is a phone cus i need a new one asap

I read a lot of talk about L and how it looks, how the phone looks.. But what about call quality? Does Motorola phones normally have decent radios for lte, wifi and gps?
A lot of people at my job have Samsung phones and don't get a good signal. My lg g2 gets a good signal when we are standing side by side. Typically How are the radios on Motorola phones?

I feel like it's device by device. My LG G3 gets a horrific signal and Samsung phones do a much better job in the same place. Motorola is typically highly regarded, though.

Thanks! I've never purchased a nexus device. Last Motorola was a flip razor. Looking forward to the nexus though..

I would say predicting the RF reception on the Nexus 6 would be to closely analyze the 2014 Moto X. Antenna designs are likely to be very similar. I haven't read up on any reports on the new Moto X, but the old one was considered to have the best reception of any smartphone in it's class.

the reason there isnt much leaks is because motorola (based here in south florida) is very tight lipped. i used to know someone that worked there. she said to me they have to go through security screenings when they come in and leave to make sure noone takes it out. the other is that they are very secure inside the building that noone snaps a photo.

Lol no, it's actually been outstanding for me. No lag, good battery life...
Only real issue for me is signal, which seems to only affect the ATT variant. (and a dead pixel)
I had it for 3 weeks before I sold it. Slow, laggy, redraws, overheating etc. Hated it.

IF this is true, how is it even possible that it is coming out this month?

Very concerning that this device hasn't passed through the FCC yet.
Last year's Nexus 5 passed through on Sept. 5 and 12, and ultimately released Oct. 31.

Here we are on Oct. 12 and still nothing. I don't see how it could possibly launch this month.

One of my sources told me that the FCC has taken a bribe from google to hide this device

I actually read an article somewhere that said something similar... It said Motorola requested the device not be made public until after a certain date... Not really a bribe but from what I had read you can REQUEST a filing be kept private for a certain period of time.... I am sure some $$$ amount is considered a "FEE" to do so..............

For the most part it's just going through the motions.....
