Was that from the Forbes article? They said the Nexus 9 would be the 3rd but nothing about the 6. I need it by next Friday as I'm out the country from the 26-10th Nov so I wouldn't be able go get it till I came back :-(

I was hoping for this as well, but I really think we're in for a little bit of a wait.

I know it won't be popular, but my personal belief is they'll announce the Nexus 9 for sale on Nov. 3rd, and then announce the Nexus 6 and simply say "coming soon" or "available this holiday season." Typically, phones take a month and a half to release after they've passed through the FCC. The Droid Turbo fits that time schedule now that it'll release on Oct 28th (passed through Sept 12), and the Nexus 5 took about that long from the time it passed through to the release date last year as well. Shamu has still not passed through the FCC, so barring some irregularity in which the filing didn't become public information, we are looking at probably a month wait minimum.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong. I just don't see a way it can be released anytime soon.

I was thinking of moving to US/Canada sometime in the future, but I can never understand how your networks work over there. Seems to me carriers have too much control over your phone/plan, In the UK it's much easier I've never had problems getting a new phone when I want or upgrading etc..

Whats everyones alternative to this phone if for some reason you change your mind ??

It would take a lot for me to change my mind, but Moto X Pure Edition, probs.
Would also be nice if either that or the Nexus 6 had Band 12 enabled for TMo. Not counting on it though.

BYOD Prepaid No-Contract is the way to go. Buy your Nexus directly from Google and walk into any GSM carrier and buy your service a la carte. i like AT&T GoPhone.

where are the Nexus 6 cases? i ordered my Nexus 5 TPU case from Diztronic on 10-23-13 - well before the phone was even formally announced (10-31-13). we should've seen some Nexus 6 cases by now.

What I usually do is get a SIM only deal from any network which offers the best stuff and then I buy the phone I like through Amazon and stick the SIM in and I'm ready. And whenever I want a new phone I return it to Amazon ( they allow two year return window for electronics) and get a new phone so I'm always updated with the best plan and phone
