Google Sign-in Fail on Android Tablet After Security Settings to PIN

One of my google accounts was compromised when I lost a cell phone. I changed the password and in the security settings of google changed it so that a PIN is required to be entered on each device that I register/sign in with. I asked it to force all my devices to obtain a PIN, and when I first sign in, I am prompted to enter the pin, which is sent to my phone number on record.

All of my computers and other devices have successfully been able to log in - I have an android smartphone and two windows pcs that have logged in with no problem. My samsung galaxy note 10.1 running a dolphin browser and gmail apps keeps failing. I never see a prompt to enter a PIN number so I believe this may be the problem. I have been able to go to google and sign in successfully on it but I am never prompted for a PIN.

Suggestions? It's a pain to have it keep sending me a "fail" message.

Thanks,
Carla

Welcome back! I'm not entirely sure how you set up that sign-in. Is that some native feature of your Google account, or are you using a 3rd party security app? Or are you using Google's 2-step authentication, that requires the use of the Google Authenticator app?
