Google Voice and dictionary

Does anyone know if there is a way to put custom words in a dictionary for Google Voice recognition?
For example, a friend I often speak to is Nicki. However when I use Google Voice to talk to her it always spells her name Nikki (without a C)
I would like to "force"it to always spell out Nicki.

You can use the app "User Dictionary Plus"

I downloaded it and installed it.
I told it to take my words from my sms messages, not exactly sure what to do to apply it to Google voice.

Can you try spelling out the name a few times? It may cause google to learn it. There's also a new feature where you can tell google nicknames of your contacts.
