REALLY?!!? I'm not seeing it. Did you have it installed already and it allowed you to update?

Mine is still showing that it's not available in the play store.

I believe if you're on a Jellybean ROM already the Play Store lets you get it, I was able to earlier this afternoon.

For those asking I will provide an apk this evening when I get home from work, and create a new thread because I don't like this one anymore lol.

Of course if anyone beats me to it and wants to post it up here you are more than welcome to! :)

yeah, I had an older version... from early June.. not sure which one...

I'm also rooted, and running Jelly Bean, but that never did anything...

I need to update the OP (kind of why I want to just make a new thread anyway) but let me call attention to this real quick:

If you need to either uninstall wallet to install an updated version OR you are doing a full wipe and flashing a new ROM:
--Make sure you first go into Wallet (assuming it's activated) and hit Menu, Settings, Reset Wallet. Make sure it completes, then exit wallet and do what you had to do.

Not doing this can lead to borking your secure element which means you're screwed!

I think that is pretty safe, I believe there are units out there that have faulty Security Elements... I borked my Security Element back in March, and had to get a warranty replacement directly from Mountain View...

Here was my correspondence...

Hi Kevin,

It appears that your phone has experienced a rare hardware error with the
Secure Element that makes it incompatible with the Google Wallet mobile
app. We are currently working with our hardware partner to address this
particular error and are interested in obtaining your phone for further
investigation.

For more information about the Secure Element and security with the Google
Wallet mobile app, please visit our help center at

If you are interested, we would like to offer you with a new Galaxy Nexus
on Verizon in exchange for your current Galaxy Nexus. You will be
required to ship your current phone to us in order to receive your new
device.

Please reply to this email acknowledging whether or not you would like to
proceed with this exchange. If you would like to proceed, please include
the following information in your reply.

- Full name

Once we receive this, we will send you our shipping details for your
existing phone and will ask for the tracking number once you have sent it.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this. Thank you for
your patience with this issue. We appreciate your help as we work to
improve Google Wallet.

Sincerely,

Leah
The Google Wallet Team

I do have a good unit now... as I Did Not reset before backing up nandroid, flashing any of the JB Roms, and from restore from TiBu...

I think it's more Hardware than Software... I'm actually trying to test the Security Element, I don't want that to be bad again, now that I know the Google Wallet team actually stands behind Nexus owners...

Please just take my word for it on this. Reset Wallet from within the app before you wipe and flash a new ROM or you are asking for trouble :)
