Google Wallet not supported

So when I got my Nexus 7 I unlocked and rooted it. When I open Google Wallet I get a message at the top saying "Unsupported device." What does this mean? The "Learn more" link didn't help much.

It doesn't like it if you're rooted, but don't worry about it, it will still work just fine.

do you use superuser or supersu?? there is an option in both app(havent played with superuser) to temp disable root and wallet will remove that unsupported when you do that.

do that when you want to pay using wallet.

SuperSU. It doesn't bother me though, now that I know that Wallet will still work.

What is google wallet anyway? Google wallet does not suppport my country. I use debit card to buy apps.

Google Wallet is a mobile payment system developed by Google that allows its users to store debit cards, credit cards, loyalty cards, and gift cards among other things, as well as redeeming sales promotions on their mobile phone.[citation needed] Google Wallet uses near field communication (NFC) to "make secure payments fast and convenient by simply tapping the phone on any PayPass-enabled terminal at checkout."

Google demonstrated the app at a press conference on May 26, 2011. The app was released in the United States only on September 19, 2011.

The service works with the 300,000 plus MasterCard PayPass merchant locations, with Visa licensing their Visa payWave system to Google for use in Wallet as of September 20, 2011.

also, its only available in US. I have been trying to use wallet for long but haven't used it yet.

As a non us citizens, this is the first time I've heard of Google gift card and price redeem. I thought Google wallet is similar to Steam Wallet where you just add funds to your wallet.
