Google Wallet updated to work with all major credit debit cards

Re: Google Wallet updated to work with all major credit debit car

Rooted, just updated and it still gives the "not yet available for your device or mobile network" crap. DAMN!:'(:'(

Nope. Just tap and go.

More like take phone out of case, wake up phone, unlock screen, launch app, enter code, activate, then hold close to NFC device, then go. Or something like that. And leave a trail for Google in the process.

So much easier, faster, and more convenient than pulling the card out of my wallet and swiping it in about 3 seconds...

Not true, I used it at CVS today, all I did was wake up the phone put it up to the machine n that's it, very simple, and I have an otterbox case on it and it still worked and didn't have to open goggle wallet

I've had terrible luck getting google wallet to work. So far I've gotten it to work in 1 of 8 attempts in 7 different stores. Though in the store it worked it was really fast.

Did it make it the orange card automatically? Mine's not doing that and I would like it to to make it easier to pick cards from first glance rather than staring at the number.

Yeah. I had already linked it in Google Play, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Do you have to tell the cashier it's a credit transaction before you tap your phone.

I guess it depends where you go. At 711 I didn't say anything. Like usual.

I tried it at bjs and put in credit in the self checkout but it didn't work for some reason. I tried tapping my debit card as well with blink right after and it didn't work either. I had to swipe it. So I think something was wrong with the register. Lol.

It says to tell the cashier its credit. And if they ask you for the last 4 use the last 4 on the transaction summary after tapping and tell them its an mc

Re: Google Wallet updated to work with all major credit debit car

I have a quick question - will the extended warranties from teh Credit Card providers still work if I purchase through Google Wallet and am using Visa card behind the scenes?

Re: Google Wallet updated to work with all major credit debit car

I attempted to use this for the first time at a local BP, with a NFC enabled credit card reader.

The three 'wave' lines showed up on my screen, and then it just sat there for 30+ seconds. It did not ask me for my pin or anything.

Are others having better luck?

From what I've read it doesn't since the transaction on your actuall credit card is only from Google, not the place you made the purchase.

This will probably be the next thing they need to work on so that people can get their card rewards and warranties.

Is there a list of vendors or retailers that accept google wallet?

yup, you will lose your extra cash back if your cc offers extra when used at gas station, restaurant, grocery... etc. plus all the extra benefits. I was very excited about this, but when I realized this, back to using physical cards again.
