Yes. It's around 12ish%. But things like R&D comes out of profits.

I always thought that r&d came out of the revenue and was factored into operating costs, maybe it's been a while since I took business courses in college.

I thought the same thing. I thought "profits" was any money left after all costs were considered. I guess in a way it DOES come out of "profits" but only in that the profits are less because of those costs.
