So with the Note having Gorilla Glass 5. Does anyone thing they worked on the scratch resistant as well as making it tougher?
I heard a lot from S7 owners that their glass would scratch really easily.

I think it'll be fine. Just depends how you care for your phone. My S7 Edge didn't have any scratches on the screen when I sold it. I didn't put a screen protector on either.

There you are. I was wondering when I'd see your username pop up, lol. I think I've talked with you on every preorder I've done. I'm assuming you're getting the Note 7?

You are a part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor to the S7E! 😂

Does the Note 3 have a version of Gorilla Glass? I don't remember. I've never had a screen protector on it and after three years it's still scratch free. It even survived having molten steel sprayed at it -- It was sitting on the workbench next to a chop saw while I was cutting some steel, and there were bits of molten steel all over the screen. I used a razor blade and it came right off, didn't leave a mark. It did put some nice burn marks on my case though. :)

It honestly did better than I thought it would for both the front and the back. I'm not as worried about the glass back as I previously was. Planning on keeping my Note 7 in my Speck CandyShell Grip 99% of the time anyway, which should handle drops fine.

I hope so. I've been lucky with my S7 Edge, but my V10 with GG4 had tons of hairline scratches.

I actually am not a fan of those type of videos but the one he did before drop test at 3 feet... the one thing that got my attention... the curve part of the gorilla glass could be the weak part in that a hit on the edge may be concerning if you don't have a bumper or case. In last video it looked like a hit near the button was a little too easy even if he was hitting it with a hammer compared to other areas.

:'( Poor phone! Damn neanderthal. He just couldn't leave the poor thing alone after the the early breakage. He just had to beat it to death didn't he? Wonder if he's going to try and pull and accidental damage replacement on it after totaling it like that. What would he argue (say he was in a car accident, and that did it)? I don't know that I'll ever want to watch another durability test video after having seen this one...

Guess that goes to show that we should be getting the edge covering curved tempered glass screen protectors for Note 7s. Now the question is what are the best curved ones that both cover the edges, have holes in the correct areas (for the camera, iris scanner, and light sensor to shoot through without distortion), don't have "drawn on" back and window buttons, and are reasonably priced...
(None of the cases I have purchased cover the edges of the phone, and if were to get a case that does cover the edges in the style of an otterbox you'd not only loose the ability to use the edge functions, but you'd also loose the border-less look of the phone).
