I thought I would use the car mount on my OG Droid a lot more.. turns out it's just easier to keep it on the passenger seat than taking it in and out of the mount.

Also can you try scratching the glass to see if it's using Gorilla Glass?

Not fun of the extended battery cover. I rater just buy another regular to swap out. This phone is all ready big and with that battery is not helping.

Unfortunately the multimedia dock was not available at the store I went to. Maybe they had it but didn't put it out yet -- not sure. When I got there, the employee was literally hanging them up, so I grabbed everything.

I will take some pics of the silicon case.

Any questions about the phone itself - such as the gorilla glass - sorry, I don't have the phone yet! We'll all know tomorrow.

Here's some pictures of the silicon case I bought ... this one is priced at $14.99 (cheapest one they had). I don't think the phone will fit in the Vehicle dock with the case -- but it might. Right now without the phone, the case fits into the car dock with no problems. Don't think it will fit at all with the extended battery door though.

If only the real thing were that light! With the extended battery I'm thinking this thing may be a brick. But coming from a Tmobile G1, it might not be that bad.

So it has an extra use... you can beat someone down with it in an emergency. Just make sure to get the warranty plan before doing so.

the phone will not fit on the car mount with the case on. exception would be the thinner silicone black case (the 14.99 one pictured above).

the 3 pack screen cover does not cover the whole front of the phone. it only covers the actual screen and the blank space above the screen where the "Verizon" sign is at.

Bad news -- based on my quick look at the Window and Dash Vehicle Mount - the Extended battery door will not fit with the mount.

Not a huge deal since you can just swap back to the original door and battery, but sort of a pain in the rear since you have to turn off the phone to do the swap.

I wish I'd have read this before driving out of my way to pick up the vehicle mount.

I had purchased an extended battery on Monday, and while it is a little bulkier, I am really liking the added up-time. In fact I intend to purchase a second extended battery along with a pair of desktop charging cradles when they become available.

I'll be stopping back at my Verizon wireless store to return the vehicle mount. Too bad, as I will now need to move to a "universal" mounting solution until ProClipUSA releases their line of custom mounts for the Thunderbolt.
