Got my HTC Evo yesterday ask if you have any questions!

If the Evo Music App Supports embedded lyrics then that will be the final straw and I will make the switch from Pre to Evo. I love my Pre and have been using the the Music Remix app, since it will at least stream the lyrics from the Lyric Wiki, but I would much rather have a music app that can read/display embedded lyrics.

Anyone out there know if the standard music app/other music app supports embedded lyrics.

Oh, and also, does it come with SD Card at all, if so what size?

The default app does not, but you can download mixzing from the app store that does just that.

It comes with a 8gb card... well at least mine did.

Or you can use another program tunewiki... that will do what you want.

Not sure about the music app questions! Can tell you that yes it comes with an 8 GB SD card installed in it

Does this phone suffer from the famous oreo effect?

... jk! In all seriousness though, is the battery cover tight or does it have a little give? I remember my G1 having a small creak after some use. My Palm Pre is getting it too! :(

I'm sure it'll develop some creaking down the line with the opening and closing of the back.

My release day Pre and every one thereafter has the oreo effect. WebOS is great! Unfortunately the build quality lacks.

Getting my EVO in 2 more days! Can't wait!!

The headphone jack seems solid. Nice firm click everytime I plug my headphones in.

Thanks for the reply! I hope the Evo's jack stands up to normal use. What's the point of having this great screen and multimedia capability on the Evo if we won't be able to listen in private, you know? When I got Sprint to order my replacement Pre today and mentioned the Evo, all the employees there already knew that my replacement Pre's days are very numbered...

Here's to hoping the Evo has none of the epic fails that the Pre has..

Side Note: They said to expect the replacement arrival on Friday. I don't know if I'm going to be able to walk in there and see all the happy new Evo owners.. and walk out with JUST my Pre... (current plan is to wait a couple weeks to see if any other Evo problems pop up before my purchase).. Guess we'll see.

Now that you've used the phone for a while, do you know what type of battery life and talk-time to expect out of the phone on a consistent basis? I plan on doing quite a bit of radio streaming (and using the FM tuner to listen to Pirates games). I don't know whether this was addressed earlier in the thread, but I'm not willing to go through 40 pages of comments right now. I just want to make sure I'm not going to return the phone in disgust in a week for a Samsung Moment (a phone I know that will be outdated right after my 30-day window closes as evidence of the Intercept comes out).

Exchange Accounts

This hasn't been asked in all the pages so I will ask it. By the way, great work on answering all of these questions. I will probably be standing in line on Friday to move from the Pre to the EVO.

How does the EVO handle exchange email accounts? Does it have problems replying to emails like the Pre does where you need a patch to make it look correct? Does it overall integrate well with exchange servers?

Exchange is working fine with me on the built in mail program. One thing I don't like is that I have many folders and I can't seem to find a way to see all my folders. It's only showing the top couple of them.

Thanks

Thanks to you I am now a proud owner of an HTC Evo. I now be downloading mixzing! Thanks for the info!
