That's good news. Some phone manufacturers think a LOUD vibrate is the the same as a STRONG vibrate haha

So true. Sometimes I feel like I have to turn off the vibrate on my Storm2 because it's louder than a ringtone (almost) lol.

My 8330 vibrates louder than some of the ringtones

**EDIT** This post officially made me an 'Android Intermediate'.

Oh yeah, I remember my 8330. That vibrate was intense to say the least. Had to turn it off for text messages.

@Molecular; This isn't a huge deal, but when you rotate the phone to landscape view, do the home screens do the same, or does it only stay in portrait? Thanks!

Home screens stayed in portrait, however, if you hit the menu tab and rotate to landscape if i remember right, the menu does go to landscape

So I just watched the video review for AC. In the very first couple of seconds you can see the notification light (I think) on the dx. If you are looking at the screen it looks to be on the left side of where the phone speaker is. It's a white circle of light. It goes away quickly since he turns on the screen. From that glimpse it does look brighter and more noticeable than the notification light on the droid. I hope that's true and I'm not just seeing things.

What do you guys think about the blur thats on the X, I mean you can see from videos and pics that some things are a tad different from base Android, and whats everyones take, I really like it personally.

I played with the HTC Incredible for a while while waiting on my NE2 to come up, had one ordered then cancelled it to wait for a Droid X after getting to play with one.

The DX felt great in the hand, barely noticed it in the pocket and quite frankly I like the features that the DXs version of the OS offers. The resizable widgets work great and everything just seems to go together well. The thing just flies and the videos look absolutely amazing on it. It took me no less than 5 minutes with it to decide to cancel my Incredible and go for the DX. There are a few minor tweaks from the default OS but it definitely doesn't feel like Blur in the least.

Having played with the Incredible it took me a while to get used to the way the DX adds things to the home pages (such as program links, on the Incredible its in the same menu as widgets, on the DX you have to simply hold the program from the program list). The DX will be my first Android device, and I'm surprised that it took me this long to pull my head out of my butt and move over to Android. Something to be said for those two-year contracts.

I have some of the smallest hands I know for someone 6' tall or over, and it felt absolutely fine in my hands. Definitely giddy with excitement waiting for the 15th.

Im really loving everything about this phone, its perfect for what I use a phone for, so all my music and movies can go on it. NO MORE IPODS!!

Precisely, I just love the device and am ecstatic that I have my phone situation figured out. Now just to wait 8 days.

I am hoping the Google Maps and associated apps carry over to the X. This Moto Droid has been a wonderful travel mate. Surely, everything will run properly within the Android system.
