I have the extended battery and cover and had no luck getting any sort of good GPS fix on my location. I downloaded GPS fix, and a couple of other apps to try and correct my GPS issue and none of them worked.
After doing some researching I see that the actual antena/contacts for the phone and GPS is actually part of the battery cover. The GPS contacts are on the inside of the cover near the camera area. Since the extended battery cover is quite a bit larger I took a stab and assumed the contacts were not connecting very well.
All I did was take a very small screw driver and raised (by gently prying under each of the two contacts on the battery cover) the contacts a bit. Now I get a GPS fix in around 2-3 seconds / even inside of my house.
Hopefully this helps anybody having the same issue.
