GPS not working after upgrade to android 5

Memo Pad 7 ME176C. After upgrade from Android 4.4.2 to Android 5, found that the pad does not receive any GPS Satellites any longer. Any assistance out there please.

I contacted Asus support and was told the only fix is to completely wipe data (Settings - Backup & reset -Factory data reset). This completely erases all data & apps which have to be manually re-downloaded. I tried to restore from a backup but the GPS was still dead. So it's a pain but after half a day reinstalling apps & copying music back, GPS and everything else is working again.
