grand prime memory issues

[Android Central Question]

Hello i am having some trouble with memory on this phone. It says i jave about 435mb left of internal storage. All apps that can be moved, have been. I check settings and it shows the apps i jave on my phone. I add them up by hand and get 1.2 gb used. I am supposed to jave 8gb. If os takes 3 to 4, then i stil should have more than 435.

What can i do to free up space? All media is on sd card. Any apps from bloatware i can remove?

Welcome to AndroidCentral This is unfortunately one of the problems when using phones with low internal storage space.

The first thing I would suggest doing is clearing your apps "Cache". Especially from apps like YouTube, Internet Browsers and Instagram. Each phone has a different way to access it so I'll just show you how I do it and try follow a similar process on your Samsung.

Settings -> Storage & USB -> Internal Storage -> Apps -> Then select a App you want to clear cache for. Here is what the screen might look like. As you can see I have 60mb of used cache space which can be cleared to free up some space. Don't delete the App data though.

I gave that a try and it freed up about another 50mb. So not to much. I wish there was a way to make my sd card act as internal storage because some apps are not moveable and their updates fill up my internal.

I have uninstalled most updates now and still have low space.i am trying to install order and chaos 2 but it requires about 1gb of internal space. I have plenty of room on my sd card but order and chaos is not moveable due to some boot file daying it wont know how to tell the app that my phone has booted haha

Great to hear that it cleared at least some space. My YouTube app sometimes goes up to 350mb and my Internet Browser goes over 200mb so it always helps me to clear the Cache for that

As a recommendation from my side, maybe have a look at this blog post from AndroidCentral. It's got a great selection of budget smartphone for good prices. Some of phones do contain ads on the lock screen (amazon exclusive) so just be aware of that if the price looks really good.
