Gray screen only backlight on

I was wondering if it's just my tab 3 7.0 that has this issue or has someone else noticed it. I would say 6 times out of 10 when I press the home button to turn on the tab or the power button, I get a grey screen and I can see the backlight on. I have to press the power button again before it takes me to the home screen. Should I be contacting Samsung as it's still under warranty.
